GoogleAfter experiencing homelessness for seven months, being given the opportunity to make this flat my home has meant far more to me than simply receiving a set of keys. During those months I experienced instability, uncertainty and at times felt completely unheard. I had even been told by the council that they could give me a train ticket to “go back to where I came from.” When you are already struggling, experiences like that can make you feel as though your circumstances matter more than you do as a person. My experience with Northwood was completely different. From the first time I met Claire Dalziel, she listened to my situation without judgement or discrimination. I felt seen, understood and treated with dignity. She recognised that people experiencing housing difficulties sometimes just need someone willing to look beyond their circumstances, listen to them properly and give them an opportunity once the necessary checks have been completed. I am incredibly grateful that Northwood gave me that opportunity. Fatimah has also been wonderful. She came to see how I was settling into the property, and today's inspection gave me another opportunity to reflect on just how much has changed. When I first received the keys, this was simply an empty flat. I have slowly turned it into my home, painting, decorating, creating peaceful spaces and putting stability and structure back into my life. After seven months without a home, Northwood didn't just provide me with somewhere to live. They gave me safety, stability and the opportunity to rebuild. The photographs show only a small part of that transformation, but to me they represent something much bigger: what can happen when somebody is given a genuine opportunity and treated like a human being. Thank you Claire, Fatimah and Northwood Newcastle for seeing the person behind the circumstances and giving me the space to grow, rebuild and shine. I will never forget what that opportunity has meant to me.

GoogleSold our house through northwood and it wasnt great. Viewings arranged and no confirmation to us. Cancelations of viewing without notice. Buyer even turned up with our estate agent while i was in bed following a nightshift as we had no notification of this. Staff can come across as very rude. Would not recommend at all.

GoogleIt’s hard to describe the poor service we have received from Northwood. If you are a tenant and your hot water goes off, please be prepared to wait at least 6 weeks + for this to be fixed. They outsource their maintenance to a company that is incapable of sourcing anything quickly (we have been left over 4 weeks now without a washing machine and are still waiting for this to be resolved). When this has happened in the past with a different letting agent, this was sorted within 2 days. You can try chasing Northwood to get an update but you will be met with people saying they will get back to you the same day and never do. If you are a landlord and are looking to let Northwood manage your property, I would highly suggest you DO NOT use them. If we didn’t love where we live so much, their service is enough to make us move.

They had the valuation, photographs and upload of our property turned round super quick, which helped with a very speedy sale of our home. Leanne, Olivia and their team were all fantastic acting and following up between me and my buyer. Thank you for making a stressful process hassle free!
