I don't usually write reviews but I felt that they deserved one because they were so nice. While searching for a place to rent I have been shocked to discover that some agencies are putting the price up compared with the price listed BUT NOT NORTHWOOD. Viewing proprieties with other agencies I felt like being at an auction. Northwood agency, especially Samantha gave excellent customer service and was very polite and patient with our needs. She went more than an extra mile sorting up things with the Landlord and Block management Highly recommend them.

First and foremost the service, experience and overall care from Samantha was absolutely Top service. Me and my partner were unlucky enough to have a previous agreement with another agency fall through last second due to selling of the property. I appointed Northwood Watford to manage our property several years ago. Samantha De Soysa looks after my interest and acts as the interface between me and the tenants. Samantha carefully managed the exit of the previous tenants who were very problematic and Samantha recovered monies from the deposit to cover the cost of cleaning and repairs for which I was very grateful. Samantha then found a new tenant who appear to be more sympathetic to looking after the house. Samantha is very professional and proactive about looking after our interest. Samantha is very responsive and manages any issues the tenants raise quickly causing the least stress. Extremely poor experience renting through Northwood. They claim to act impartially when dealing with deposit disputes however this is far from the truth. I would recommend avoiding this company at all costs. If you are already renting through Northwood, I would strongly advise demanding to be present at the check out report when you leave the property, as they and the landlords will try to deduct as much as humanly possible from your deposit and then continue to deduct as punishment for not accepting their first offer.

Deposit Eaters, Avoid Them! **Ignore the fake 5-star reviews!!!** Do not rent through this agency! They will do everything they can to avoid returning your deposit. We rented a flat on Pentland Road in Bushey, which had numerous issues, including damp and mould. I documented everything and emailed the estate agent, J., who acknowledged that the property was dated. However, at the end of our tenancy, they made false claims and demanded the property be returned in brand-new condition. Despite spending over £400 of our own money to fix issues they refused to address, they still withheld our deposit. Save yourself the trouble, AVOID renting from them!
