GoogleI am absolutely disgusted in northwood estate agents. A very close friend to me is getting no help at all from them she has a house with a tenant living in she has giving the tenant notice which she is refusing to move out! my friend is going to end up homeless which she has stated to the northwood estate agents. They are doing nothing to help her. That is her house! She was then told she will have to go down doing it through courts which she is a single mum and will not be able to afford can i state. she has also paid for tbings to be fixed but cant have her house back? Very disappointed!!

We would like to clarify that Northwood Estate Agents have provided full support to the landlord throughout this tenancy. From the very start, the landlord was fully informed of the procedure and the process, including the route she would need to follow if the tenant did not vacate the property.
As a professional letting agent with over 20 years’ experience in this industry, we are legally required to follow the proper procedures under UK law. In this case, the landlord served a Section 21 notice, which is the lawful process for requesting possession of a property. Under the law, we cannot force a tenant to leave their home; if a tenant refuses to vacate, the only way to regain possession is through the courts. This is a legal requirement, not a matter of discretion.
Northwood has acted in full accordance with the law and fulfilled all our responsibilities as an agent. We supplied the landlord with all documentation required to proceed with court action promptly and without delay, ensuring the process could move forward as quickly as legally possible.

GoogleIf every estate agent was like Luton branch of Northwood, estate agents wouldn’t have a negative reputation! We rent an older property, so have had numerous issues to report over the years. Not only is there always a prompt response, but also genuine concern, evidenced by follow-up calls until the problem has been resolved. My wife and I have had dealings with each member of the lettings team. Without exception, staff are courteous, friendly, and efficient. We get the impression that a happy atmosphere prevails in the office. Having recently met the manager, we think we know why!

I lost my holding deposit they didn’t even informed by email regarding the holding fee deduction prior to the procedure.
I think this is the first agency taking holding deposits when application rejection happen.
Northwood suppose to take only few charges that would be reasonable price .

Googleavoid at all cost, complete waste of time. Staff is rude and unhelpful, I had a leakage from toilet for 2nd time in the past 2 years of tenancy, they are refusing to fix the crumbling ceiling in the kitchen. In May 2020 I had a problem with a central heating, and this was fixed in 3 weeks time (after contacting Environmental Health Agency at LBC), which is completly below any standards.
For Polish speaking people / to Poles, be careful, even though a Polish woman works in the agency, you will still have more troubles, ranging from denial of repairs and ending with administrative problems.
