Excellent experience. Northwoods handled the rental process very well - smooth, efficient, and hassle-free. As managers on behalf of the landlord, they were quick to arrange repairs and were available pretty much 7 days a week. (Needless to say, tap leaks etc. always happen on a weekend LOL.) No problem with check-out either, getting my full deposit back, and working with me and the landlord to keep everything quick and stress-free. I recommend Northwoods highly.

I can’t stress enough how lovely, attentive and empathetic the staff is, specially Victoria, who in such short notice, and extremely nicely, managed that I’d comfortably find a room and settle in Reading. Spent nearly 3 years at this property, with some downs, due to the other tenants, but Victoria managed to sort things out timely and ensured I had a lovely time overall. Couldn’t recommend the team enough.

They are both professional and proactive and and can be relied upon to look after our interests. My experience of renting through Northwood has been nothing short of disgraceful. Now, over 6 weeks since the end of the lease I have still not received my deposit back. At first this was due to their failure to even be able to contact the landlord. Then their support of the landlord in trying to extort costs for damage from the deposit that were not only bogus but completely unsubstantiated - no evidence either in expected costs or receipts was forthcoming (unsurprising as the house had been sold and already inhabited by the new buyer!). Now, 19 days since the landlord agreed to a full refund, I am still waiting for the money to be returned. This is a flagrant breach of the law that requires the money to be returned no later than 10 days after an agreement has been reached. At every stage I have found the team at Northwood to be unhelpful, unresponsive and difficult to contact. Reading recent reviews shows that I am not the only person to have trouble with this. Good reviews seem to all be from property owners, not tenants. I would strongly advise any prospective tenants to take their business elsewhere and avoid using Northwood at all costs.

Jenni did a great job on a very complicated renewal, to both my and the tenants satisfaction. Service such as this is the main reason I've remained with Northwood to manage my BTL property rather than answering the call of the larger letting agencies in the local area.

Been with Northwood 5 years in the same residence, they always get things sorted fast and efficiently. Great team in Reading. Recently had the pleasure of meeting Karen who has managed to sort out some maintenance issues within the communal areas of the property and also had a window replaced in a matter of days. I do not believe Northwood deserves any positive ratings, particularly in regard to Karen Brown. While I noticed a comment praising her, my experience has been quite the opposite. Over the past eight months, I have faced significant mental and financial distress due to her management. That house had so many issues that on the first day I reported more than ten issue of them, but none were addressed. Due to dampness and mold on the curtains, my son has more frequent seizures, but they are not at all a bother for health and safety Especially Karen Brown treats us like as a tenant no any human value for them she is only responsible for Landlord. I vacated the property nearly 15 days ago, yet my deposit return has not been processed. Additionally, the house was left numerous mechanical issues for which I was charged. I would advise caution to anyone considering renting from Northwood specially if agent is Ali and Karen Brown. Brajesh Rai .

After having some less-than-stellar letting agents in previous cities, Northwood made my move to Reading in late 2018 an absolute breeze. Fantastic service from Sarah throughout the letting process for my first property, even meeting me for a first viewing on her way home from the office! When I left the property in late 2019, for somewhere which was completely unsuitable, Northwood - and in particular Lisa and Sarah - were there to support me all the way in my search for a new place to live, sending me details of properties as soon as they were due to become available, and effectively rescuing me from a terrible home situation! Now settled into my new place, I wanted to thank all at Northwood Reading for their exceptional service; if I can avoid it, I'll never use another agent in Reading!
