It’s sad to see a bad review sometimes but these reviews are what I went on when I was choosing my eastate agent and in this case I was mislead. After researching for a good agent in Clacton I signed with Northwood so they could let out my property. Before signing Robert was very effective and always got back to me via telephone or email. Once I signed with them I found myself chasing both Robert and Mark for updates about the house however their response was always pinging the responsibility on the other person. They had my house on the market for 3 weeks and only conducted one set of viewing, they did an inventory where they missed multiple things that should of been raised about the house, they did indeed find me a tenant however not what I wanted and I felt as thought they wanted me to change what I was looking for. I trusted them and even recommended them at the start to others however I was quickly disappointed. When I informed them I wanted to leave they didn’t even ask why. Goes to show how much they care about the business.

⭐ 1 Star If I could give zero stars, I would!! After seven years of domestic violence, I finally escaped and paid a full year’s rent upfront for a fresh start. Northwood Clacton promised a safe home, instead, since January, I’ve been living in one room of a three-bedroom house thanks to mould, serious disrepair, and sheer neglect. The council has visited numerous times, the real estate has visited, and even the council’s fraud team has been involved, and yet, here I am, still living in uninhabitable conditions. I’ve reported, followed up, done everything I could, and they still treat me and my child with zero respect and zero care. Paying them money doesn’t buy you safety, comfort, or common decency. It just buys trauma and frustration. Northwood Clacton, congratulations, you’ve perfected the art of collecting rent while ignoring tenants. Think renting through them will be fine? Think again. You’ll get all the money taken and none of the support.

From initial viewing to taking the keys there was excellent communication and updates from Robert. Emails answered promptly and always happy to speak to me on the phone. Robert had all the paperwork neatly printed out and ready for me in the office and even went out of his way to show us around again and get keys cut. Would thoroughly recommend using this estate agent.
