The worst experience I ever had with an estate agent as a seller. I worked with Sam to sell my property over the course of a year due to the lower fees that winkworth offers and also initial friendly and responsive attitudes. However, after 6 months of no avail of selling my flat I decided to move to another estate agent. After I’d already stated that I was taking my property down and let it with a long term tenant, Sam said that there was a last minute offer. I believed this to be in good faith and worked with him to get everything in place and spent over 2k in legal fees. He convinced me to let my tenants go for this “offer” subject to exchanging without doing any proof of funds. Lo and behold, after my tenants moved out the buyer vanished into thin air and over the course of the next 2 months excuses continued to come in from Sam and Winkworth. I lost thousands of pounds in rent and even after I still had it on with Winkworth for a few months during which time they secured 0 viewings and had no communications with me. Make sure to AVOID and never kick a tenant out before exchanging no matter what the estate agent tells you. TERRIBLE experience, worst in my life and I’d lost at least 10k during the debacle so saving a few % in commissions is really not worth it!

Outstanding Service from Ed and the Winkworth Tooting Team We can’t thank Ed enough for everything he did to help us sell our home. This wasn’t a straightforward sale. We were on the market for quite some time, lost buyers along the way, and experienced plenty of ups and downs. Throughout it all, Ed remained calm, positive and incredibly supportive. My contact person at Winkworth, Streatham Branch was Anthony Fraser. Anthony was not only a great listener but also polite, courteous and respectful. His professionalism was of the highest level. I stated my budget and requirements for a flat. Anthony listened to me and arranged viewing. At the viewing I was profoundly pleased at the fact that Anthony thought about my requirements. Anthony also answered my queries and updated me during the process of the purchase. Both Emmanuel and Riley have been incredibly helpful throughout our move. Emmanuel has been professional, friendly, and welcoming since day one. Riley has been incredibly patient and always on top of any concerns or requests we've had regarding the property. They've both been a huge help throughout the entire process, and we really appreciate all of their hard work in making our move as smooth as possible. Thank you both! With that being said, unfortunately, our experience with the branch director has been very different. We were given notice of a property visit on the same morning, which we believe did not provide reasonable notice. When we explained that it would be more convenient if the visit could take place on a different day so that more of the tenants could be present, this request was refused. During the visit, the director did not appear interested in discussing or resolving our concerns about basic maintenance issues. Instead, he responded in a way that came across as patronising and dismissive. Overall, we found our interactions with him to be unprofessional and unnecessarily unpleasant.
