GoogleWinkworth managed the letting of our Blackheath flat for about twenty years with very few problems. When we decided to sell it, we opted to use Winkworth. Steve Brown and his team did a brilliant job. From just one viewing to completing the sale, the Winkworth team worked hard and diligently to ensure it all went through as quickly and smoothly as possible. It was less than eight weeks from putting it on the market to completing the sale. Five stars, well deserved! Thank you

GoogleThe Blackheath team were absolutely fantastic to work with, they were able to get us an offer within 4 weeks of putting our home on the market. Tom Wilcox was extremely conscious of the fact that we have a young family and created open days rather than daily viewings. His colleague Patrick Delvin did a fantastic job support the post-offer to completion process, bringing together solicitors across the chain to make sure we were able to move as planned. Thank you both!

GoogleI would strongly advise anyone to avoid Winkworth based on my experience. We have just collected the keys to a flat that Winkworth helped us rent, and the entire experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. From the very beginning, the service was poor. During the viewing, the agent rushed us through the property, repeatedly telling us she had other viewings to attend. Our viewing lasted barely 10 minutes, leaving us little opportunity to inspect the flat properly. We decided to proceed only because the property itself was spacious, in a good location, and appeared suitable. Before signing the tenancy, we specifically requested that the property be professionally cleaned and prepared before handover. This did not happen. When we collected the keys today, the inventory clerk witnessed that the property had clearly not been properly cleaned. There were stains on the floors, walls, cooker, oven, and toilets, and the balcony had not been cleaned at all. These issues were documented during the inventory inspection. To make matters worse, the lighting throughout the property was so poor that the inventory clerk had to use the torch on her phone to complete the inspection and take photographs. As we were leaving, one of the lights failed completely, which was also recorded in the inventory report. When I contacted Winkworth to report these issues, the response was appalling. Rather than acknowledging the problems or offering any assistance, staff were dismissive, repeatedly insisted that the issues were “not their responsibility” because they do not manage the property, and one member of staff even raised their voice during the call. Once the tenancy agreement had been signed and payment made, it felt as though they no longer had any interest in providing even basic customer service. I understand that letting agents may not manage every property they let, but that does not excuse handing over a property in such poor condition or treating customers with disrespect when legitimate concerns are raised. This has been one of the most unprofessional experiences I have had with a letting agent. I would not recommend Winkworth to anyone looking to rent a property.

GoogleIt was an absolute pleasure working with Becca, Alex and Patrick and the entire team at Winkworth Blackheath. We genuinely can't thank them enough for their incredible support throughout both the sale of our home and the purchase of our new one. The current property market is far from easy, but from the very beginning we felt we were in safe hands. The team went above and beyond to sell our property, and despite several disappointing setbacks, they never lost their positivity, determination or proactive approach. Their confidence and encouragement kept us going when it would have been easy to lose hope. Buying our new home felt impossible at times, but once again Becca and the team somehow made the impossible happen. Then came the conveyancing process, where we found ourselves in a long and complicated chain. Patrick was outstanding throughout. He kept us informed every step of the way, coordinated an incredibly complex process with professionalism, patience and kindness, and made us feel completely looked after from start to finish. Looking back, it's hard to believe we made it through, and we're certain we wouldn't have without such an exceptional team by our side. We couldn't recommend Winkworth Blackheath more highly. If we're ever fortunate enough to buy another property in the future (perhaps after winning the lottery!), there is no question we'd go straight back to Becca, Patrick and the team. We honestly can't think of a better group of people to guide you through what can be one of life's most stressful experiences.

Emails were answered immediately, phone messages had a swift response, leisurely lawyers were pursued, excellent advice given. The level of engagement was outstanding.

GoogleWinkworth were really helpful during my property search. Arrun Padda was especially responsive to support the search over a number of weeks across a wide area. Arrun was flexible with time, showed high quality property listings to me, and was prompt to help communication with landlords. This stood out to me all while he maintained a relatable yet professional manner and I really appreciated his work. If I’m searching for properties again I’d be reassured to have Arrun’s help at Winkworth.

GoogleThe Blackheath team were great, and our process to purchasing a chain-free property with them was very straight-forward. Becca and Maisie were brilliant during our initial enquiry, viewing and offer process, and Nicola was fab as we proceeded to exchange. House moves are stressful but the team at Winkworth Blackheath helped to keep things moving smoothly and easily (well, as easily as they can be!). Thanks team.

GoogleI put in two very good offers and the agent for Winkworths , Blackheath did not even check in with estate agent regarding my sale of my property.I was given false information at the viewing that noone was interested and that a previous offer had fallen through. Very misleading and disappointing and not a friendly agent either. I won't be using them in any capacity in the future.
Hi Migs, Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry the experience left you feeling disappointed. I have looked into this carefully and spoken with the negotiator who showed you the property. I can confirm you were made aware that there had been a previous buyer and that the matter was chain-related at the time of your viewing. When your offer was being discussed with the seller, the previous buyer resolved their chain issue and was then able to proceed with an imminent exchange of contracts. As a result, the seller chose to move forward with that party immediately. In those circumstances, there was no longer a need to progress enquiries with your estate agent at that point, however, had the seller been considering your offer, we would of course have confirmed your chain position straight away as we were actively trying to get your offer accepted. I’m sorry it didn’t work out on this occasion, but I would like to reassure you there was no intention to mislead. Maisie was very accommodating to ensure viewings and suggestions, offered excellent insight/ advice and quick to respond including recommending solicitors and survey when our offer was accepted. Patrick kept the process - a five point chain on track with excellent follow up and communication - and remained calm as different pressures emerged. Absolutely would recommend!

GoogleI bought my first flat with Winkworth in Blackheath and then sold it again with them 3 years later. The experience has been very good, from the viewings all the way through to the exchange of contracts. They kept me informed the entire way and if there were any issues, they flagged them immediately. Nicola and Maisie for the viewings and then Patrick for the selling process. Both were very good. Whenever it comes to me needing to sell again, I’ll be going back to Winkworth Blackheath.

I was so impressed because not only did they get back to me quickly with answers to my many queries(!), they also were speedy at communicating between myself, my solicitor and our buyer. After feeling jaded from dealing with another estate agent previously, (who we frequently had to chase up), working with the staff at Winkworth was a welcome and refreshing change.

GoogleHaving lived in our house in Chislehurst for 30 years, we took the decision to move close to family in Blackheath. A few local estate agents visited our house and gave us advice. We were impressed with Winkworth and decided to ask them to market our house. Unfortunately, their Chislehurst’s office closed down at a short notice. This left us with a choice of going with another local estate agent or ask Winkworth branch in Blackheath to take the sale process over. We met Steve the Blackheath branch manager who visited our house. We were even more impressed than before. Hence, we asked him to market our property. We were criticised by many of our friends for not appointing a local estate agent. Winkworth staff were highly professional throughout. Their verbal and written communications were impeccable and a friendly and reassuring person was always on the other side of the phone. Winkworth also helped us to find an ideal property close to our daughter in Blackheath. The sale of our house and the purchase of a new one went smoothly thanks to Winkworth staff. We particularly recommend Maisie and Patrick for their professionalism, support and guidance throughout the process. They made it smooth despite everyone we know describing it as difficult and stressful. Given our experience, we rate Winkworth highly and will certainly use their services in future if needed.

I was very impressed with the service they gave, they were particularly good at keeping things moving, chasing solicitors and generally keeping on top of things and they always made sure I was aware and up to date on what was happening. GoogleWinkworth have been a lifesaver. I had a bad experience with another local estate agent before coming to Winkworths. The contrast was night and day. Which is not surprising given their many years of working knowledge in the Greenwich area. They were open, friendly and honest from the start. From Guy Epps the Director viewing my property and working with me to shape the description together with Deborah taking amazing photos and a video walkthrough, they really showed off my property to its full glory. Then taking the new house profile and activating their extensive network of buyers, they were so successful that I received an offer on the first weekend of viewings! Which was amazing given my previous bad experience. Their team work to carry me through the full end to end process then kicked in. Gillian fielding requests from solicitors And both parties with supreme professionalism and tact was always reassuring even when I was feeling the stress that invariably comes when selling a house. Even John in lettings was equally in my corner helping me with my next move. I really can’t recommend Winkworth enough. You really can’t beat them.
