GoogleWe used Winkworth’s Cheam to market our late mother’s house and they did their upmost to get as many potential buyers as possible through the door.
Georgie was fantastic in advising us on the pricing and marketing.
Communication is really important when you are selling a house and Kirstie was absolutely brilliant and kept us updated every step of the way even down to chasing solicitors on completion day to make sure everything was running smoothly.
Throughout the whole selling process she provided plenty of feedback from viewings so we knew what areas we could improve to make the property more appealing.

The team are extremely helpful and Georgie who came over to do the valuation was particularly good. Happy to answer all my questions and also to discuss what price to put it up for.
Shaun and the rest of the team were also good through the process especially with solicitors whowere notoriously difficult to get in touch with. There were moments where I felt I was chasing Winkworth for updates however overall I would say the communication was good.
I would go back to Winkworth if I were to sell in the area again and recommend them in Cheam and the surrounding towns.

It looked fantastic and attracted a lot of interest. Stephen managed the viewings and presented the property really well to potential buyers, which made a big difference. GoogleUnfortunately when selling our house last year we didn’t have a positive experience with Winkworth. It felt like the property was valued unrealistically high to begin with in order to sign us up, with overinflated levels of confidence. This lead to disappointment and frustration. This may not have been deliberate, but either way the guidance and information we were given was inaccurate. We eventually successfully sold through another estate agent in a much shorter timeframe than what we had tired with Winkworth. Unfortunately Winkworth also lost our house keys, and it took me chasing for them to return our keys for this to come to light. They did eventually agree to getting our lock changed as a result of the lost keys and this was organised swiftly after agreeing to do so, although this was not offered up front, I had to ask for this to be done. Everyone we interacted with was generally friendly but unfortunately based on our experience I couldn’t reccommend using them.

I'm very sorry to hear of your poor experience whilst using Winkworth to market your property.
I can assure you, we do not unrealistically value properties in order to encourage clients to use us. Our valuations are based on a number of factors, including location, condition, comparable properties and current market conditions.
However, we never really know how the market will respond until marketing and viewings commence. If the market response and feedback suggest the market will not support the marketing price, we will review the price and amend if necessary. This is a common feature of the property market and marketing prices are commonly reviewed and amended when the feedback suggests it is necessary.
After 8 viewings at your property, we discussed the feedback with you and it was agreed to adjust the price accordingly. Following the price adjustment, we had a further 10 viewings, resulting in three offers. The highest of these offers was at 96% of the new marketing price, which is in keeping with marketing price/sale price averages. However, you decided not to accept the offer and withdrew your property.
With regards to your keys, I’m incredibly sorry one of our staff managed to lose your keys. Of course, it wasn’t deliberate but unfortunately accidents do happen, which is regrettable. As such, coded tags are added to all keys to ensure there isn’t anything linking them to a particular property, meaning there is never a security risk should they ever get misplaced or lost.
I have owned and operated two local Winkworth offices for over 25 years, and this is only the second time we have had an incident with keys, and for that I apologise wholeheartedly.
As you acknowledge, once this was brought to my attention, I immediately arranged for your locks to be changed.
We are all human and cannot get everything right all of the time. However, we do strive to provide the best possible service we can and I would hope that is reflected in the many positive reviews that have been left by our clients.

GoogleI have been to view a flat in Sutton on Saturday 23 of March 2018 without even a email or text message with the full address and confirmation of view appointment.I tried my luck and i was happy because The staff attended the view. After i seen the flat , apparently i felt undecided to take or not the property . After 10 minutes while i discussed with my husband we said that this flat is suitable for us and decide to start the procedure . I called Kate which attended the view and i confirmed i will take the property. She said by Monday we will have a call back because they have to talk with the Landlord . Monday i struggled together with my husband to find out why Kate didn’t called back and i left numerous messages to the reception for Kate to call me back , which unfortunately didn’t happened. Today( Tuesday ) i called again and the staff mentioned that property was given to someone else without even a reason why they confirmed in the previous days that property will
be kept for us and Kate is in Annual
Leave. I don’t recommend this agency and who looking for a property please avoid this kind of people! Highly unprofessional! I don’t wish
for anybody else to have this bad experience!

I'm sorry but this a completely inaccurate and misleading record of what took place. Of course, I understand your frustration that the Landlord ultimately decided to accept an offer from another tenant, but that is their prerogative. For both you and your partner (Cuciureanu Emanuel) to leave 1 star reviews purely because you're disappointed the outcome didn't go your way, is incredibly unfair.
