This particular time we sold our home through Winkworth and from start to finish the service we received was professional, great communication and ultimately we had a quick turnaround. We were at the end of a chain of 4 and the process became tricky at certain points but Dan was outstanding - calling frequently, working with our solicitors and keeping our buyers regularly informed. We have had two fantastic experiences with winkworth. Firstly they found us a Tennant for our property and then subsequently sold it for us. We have bought and sold properties in the past, however we have never had a nicer more professional time. Right from the outset we were kept informed and updated on the progress of our sale. Dan is honest, friendly and very knowledgeable about the rental and sales market. Our recent sale was simple and Dan made it a pleasure. GoogleI chose Winkworth to market my late father’s bungalow in Romsey, initially approaching them as their portfolio, although varied, represent similar houses. When I met Dan at the premises, I was impressed by his enthusiasm, but also by the research he had done, looking at similar properties that had sold in the immediate area. The commission was also very competitive. Dan was efficient and effective, and the house was marketed quickly, selling on the first day for the full asking price. Dan kept us informed of the progress and was charming and helpful throughout, right through to completion.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Winkworth.

I visited the property I was purchasing 5 or 6 times for various pre-exchange checks and they were happy to facilitate every visit. GoogleAll the estate agents in Romsey we have had dealings with over the years have been good/very good. However Winkworth is the standout by some distance. It is a small, close-knit team who work really well together and show a real empathy with their clients. Whomever one speaks with in the office, they will be fully conversant with your case and be able to help you.
Winkworth is highly profession in their approach but alongside give a personal touch with a genuine understanding of the need for reassurance and support through what, at times, can be a stressful and emotional process.

Dan specifically, opened communication between our seller and us to keep everyone on the same page. He was working and in contact regularly, helping keep things moving.

My first communication with Winkworth Estate Agents in Romsey was on Saturday, that was with an answering machine. I then called back several times on Saturday to talk to someone but every call was being answered by an answering machine even though the website states they are open between 09:00 and 16:00.
No call back from my 3 messages so thought i would call them again this evening.
I got met by someone that clearly had no interest in me or what i was after.
I asked about a property and this particular lady had to go and check if it was still available. It wasn't so i simply asked if they knew if it was the house or the barn that was for rent at this property to which i got a very blunt NO.
Very bad business model when the person on the phone couldn't care enough to ask me what sort of property i was looking for and if they could help me find a property that would be right for me.
Utter shame really.
In my business this is the sort of employee we would call a SABOTEUR. someone that doesn't care enough about the business to develop it but is happy enough to take a wage from it month after month.
This review could have been very different if the experience was different. maybe that needs to be relayed to this particular person about phone attitude.
Unfortunately in this case, my first contact will be my last contact.
