We chose Winkworth over other local agents because of Alex's obvious experience and wealth of local knowledge and his commitment to ensuring the best interests of the sellers (us!), rather than just going for a quick sale to get his commission. He and Emma gave us really useful advice about valuation of the property, the timing of the sale and preparing the property for visits by prospective purchasers. Emma worked her magic during those visits and the property sold much more rapidly than we had expected. There is a huge choice of estate agents in this area, but we are so pleased that we chose Alex, Emma and the Winkworth team, and I thoroughly recommend them to any sellers in the West Norwood area.

Just great. The whole team contributed to what was not a straightforward sale with plenty of bumps (not of their making) along the way. I had previously been with another agent and only had a very few viewings. Once with Emma, Sarah and Alex, I had loads of viewings and, when that sale fell through, more potential buyers. The team were incredibly supportive when that sale took a long time to complete. But, thanks to them and their skilful handling of the transaction, I'm now happily settled in my new home. Hayley is part of a great team of people and it's the team work that makes this a special Estate Agency. Alex helped me buy a property in a difficult market; Sarah helped me let it, with great success over several years, Pamela always has a twinkle, she's a great administrator - and they are all really knowledgeable about all aspects of property purchase, letting and selling. I've always felt welcome and have valued the work they've done and the way they have done it. I felt very sad when I realised I wouldn't be dealing with them all again when the property was successfully sold - to the perfect buyers. Friendly and professional Alex had been occasionally valuing my house over the years and he always struck me as someone whom I could trust. After 15 years I decided to put my house on the market and instructed Alex to sell it for me. At every point throughout the process Alex was professional, friendly and able to put my mind at rest. Most of all I trusted his judgement and his extensive knowledge of the local area. Both Hayley and Sarah (based at the West Norwood branch) were equally professional and accommodating whenever they visited the property or whenever I had a query. The whole process was considerably less stressful than it could have been thanks to Alex and his team. A great service from lovely 'down to earth' people. I cannot recommend Alex and his team enough.

We where going to sell our place with Winkworth Alex was all nice when he did his valuation, but when he turned up with the paper work to sign up we he was clearly told him we were looking at other agents for best value. When I arrived home later to find him being extremely biligerant ,I had to eject him from my home since then I have seen him three times he has abused me. Grow up Alex!!!!!! By way I don't even rate the one star but it's the only way to put on the comment.

Jaydene was so lovely and not at all pushy in our initial viewing - I genuinely believe that this makes a lot of difference when viewing houses. It was a pleasure to deal with Alex during subsequent negotiations etc, who really went out of his way to give advice and keep us in the picture. Little to no communication from the team. Whenever we received updates it was because we chased them. In three months we only had three viewings and were told it was because of the market, but in hindsight it was likely that it was priced too high. We were assured we would get interest at that price. Once we made the decision to leave, we never received a call or email from the team. It was as if we never had a contract in the first place. Would not recommend as they’ll likely give you an inflated price to get your business and then not keep in contact or sell your home.
