Julie Barks, the agent, was (appropriately given her name!) like a dog with a bone and with her no nonsense approach kept everything moving smootly and swiftly along, while also keeping me informed of progress every step of the way. Using her experience and contacts, she proactively found a cash buyer for my property and got the transaction completed within a tight timescale. Well done, and many thanks Julie!

I used winkworth to rent out my property after I had a nightmare tenant. I was recommended Victoria and she was fantastic from the start, she got me the perfect tenant and restored my faith in the rental market. I also used winkworth to sell my property with Julie. Julie was always on the ball and very good at keeping me up to date. I heard more information from Julie than I did from my own solicitor. I would highly recommend both Julie and Victoria, they are a credit to Winkworth.

We recently sold our property through Winkworth in Newark and most of the service we received was very good. Sam was very friendly and professional when he visited to carry out the valuation. He provided all the information we needed before making our decision to market with them. Viewings came quite quickly with a few offers, one of which we accepted. We were assured our first time buyers had everything in place to proceed however, this was not factually correct. One important factor not disclosed was the buyers access to their deposit. Winkworth work on a 12 week window which they say it takes a solicitor to complete everything. This was not the case as it took approx 7 and our solicitor informed us it rarely takes 12. As the offer presented to us did not include all the facts, our completion was delayed by 5 weeks waiting for our buyers to have access to their deposit. Given all the facts of the offers received in the first instance, may have resulted in us selling to a different party. A mention must go to Val who works extremely hard liaising between all concerned; a credit to Winkworth. Had we not been misled with the facts, the star rating would have been higher.

We had the pleasure of working with the Winkworth team and their helpful and professional approach was superb. From the initial valuation and then the associated viewings we always felt that Jo and Vicki were prepared to go an 'extra mile' in order to sell our house. Then after an offer had been accepted , and despite an elongated and difficult exchange process, Val continued the first class service that we had come to expect from Winkworth's, Val has the patience of a saint and her tenacity is to be admired! lol We would highly recommend Winkworths to anybody who is looking for a local estate agent who is prepared to offer a highly professional service.

The team at Winkworth Newark are terrific. from the first time we walked in to make inquiries about selling our property they were more than helpful. Sam came to our home to discuss things personally and took things from there. We felt confident that we had made the right choice in asking them to sell on our behalf. We couldn’t have been more happy with the service we received from Winkworth Newark for the purchase and sale of our houses. We found our dream home and they were selling it. From the first phone call to them, I felt they wanted to help us get the house and even when at first I said I would use a different estate agent to sell our house, based on a previous experience, they were still fantastic and didn’t make me feel bad about this. They impressed me so much with the viewing of the property that I decided to sell with them too, as did our buyers! Every single person we dealt with at Winkworth was so lovely and helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. Val in particular was outstanding in chasing up up all the solicitors, which was no mean feat in a chain of 8! We purchased our home through Winkworth in January 2020 and found Daniel and his colleagues to be extremely supportive, no matter what the question or how little it seemed to us they took the questions very seriously and guided us through the potential pitfalls that can occur when purchasing a house. During our search we came across other agents and I have to do admit that I was not impressed as much as I was with Winkworth and would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of buying or selling through this agency who put the customer first and foremost.
