Went in to view one apartment ended up having a look at 3 different apartments, she was so patient and lovely when my partner called on video call and wanted to have a look at the place too. As first-time buyers, we found a property being sold by Mann. Initially, the process was fairly smooth. There were a few minor issues with the property, but nothing unexpected, and overall we were satisfied. At that stage, we even felt we would likely return to Mann in the future to sell our home. Unfortunately, the final few months leading up to completion were extremely stressful and, at times, unacceptable. We were receiving 2, 3 calls per day, not only from the Ashford branch but also from Folkestone, constantly asking whether we had completed certain tasks and repeatedly telling us to “hurry up,” even when we were waiting on documents ourselves. This quickly escalated to the point where we felt harassed and under significant pressure. We made it clear that we no longer wished to be contacted directly and asked that all communication go through our solicitors instead. After this, the calls did stop, and we were finally able to continue the process with some peace of mind. However, when it came time to sign contracts, the situation repeated itself. We were bombarded again, multiple calls in a single day, and over 20 calls within a 3, 4 day period, chasing us to sign paperwork. We were told things like, “We’ve spoken to your solicitors and they said you haven’t dropped the signed copies off yet, why? Do it today!” The tone was pushy and increasingly aggressive. At this point, I reminded them that we had explicitly requested no direct contact and that all communication should go through our solicitors. This was not received well. Instead, I was met with shouting down the phone, including comments such as, “What do you expect? Wouldn’t you want to know what’s happening if you were selling your house? We just want you to sign the contract!” The entire interaction was unprofessional and completely inappropriate. This has been one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve had. The conduct of one individual, in particular, has severely damaged our perception of Mann as a company. It is disappointing that such behaviour is tolerated, as it undermines what was otherwise a positive start. If Mann genuinely wishes to investigate this matter, they will have our details on file and know how to contact us. However, based on this experience, I am not optimistic that any follow-up will take place.

Absolutely unacceptable, my poor mother travelled all the way in an uber with a broken foot, to get a call last minute saying oh sorry I was unaware I had a viewing I’ll be there in 10 mins, my mum stood outside the property to get a call later saying they can’t make it so she was waiting outside with a broken foot and wasted her money on Ubers there and back. Rubbish estate agency.. the cheek to make excuses saying they are very busy, we are all busy! It’s your job!

Honestly I don´t know where to start

Honestly I don´t know where to start. But after speaking to their Regional manager it all makes sense. First thing they wanted was to get us to speak to their specialist panel of mortgage brokes that can get more deals etc. In contrast to the last estate agents we bought from they wanted a fee up front etc. They were also keen to market our house for us and I asked multiple times to send me a some information oin their fees etc which was avoided 3 or 4 times. We have seen house that has been on the market for overa year, I spoke to the vendors son while at the viewing and he explained they weren´t in a rush and wouldnt need us to have a an offer on our house to accept an offer. I asked him and he said no he was happy because they arent in a rush. We were loking to put anb offer in when a reginal manager i have never spoken to calls up again trying to market our house, I told him I didnt get a good feeling from them and chose another estate agent we had a better experience withg and he went on to bash them for not being able to get photos for 2 weeks. I said the marketing on the other company and the treatment is much better and I was going to use them anyway and he proceeded to send a whstsap message. I get my name is difficult but I am dyslexic and a sales person and I make sure I spell people name correnctly so I mentioned like I said before about trust and I will post the transcript below of teh cinversation.. You make up your minds if you would trust this person running a bussiness. Allun; Hi Farren, it’s Allun here from MANN. From the moment I requested a virtual viewing while we’re abroad, the service from this agency has been outstanding. Charlotte contacted me immediately after I expressed interest and arranged for videos to be taken the very next day. She was consistently responsive to all our questions, and the referencing and affordability checks through Goodlord were seamless and straightforward. We’ve been searching for apartments for about a month with mixed experiences from other agencies - viewing requests ignored, or little to no information provided.
