As first-time buyers, the whole process of purchasing a home felt quite daunting, but Gascoigne and Pees were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The team, including Melissa, were always friendly, approachable, and incredibly helpful, keeping us informed every step of the way and answering any questions we had promptly. Melissa was also great and so helpful throughout, going above and beyond to support us and make sure everything ran smoothly. Their communication was excellent throughout, and they went above and beyond to make what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and manageable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their support and reassurance gave us real confidence during the process. We are so grateful for all of Gascoigne and Pees’ hard work and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. Whilst not directly involved in the sale of our own house, they were heavily involved in the chain we were part of, and we had contact with them on multiple occasions. Kim and the team at Chessington were so helpful with proactive updates, and making sure that their involvement also supported us by being efficient with communications so we could all keep things moving. Things got complicated in the chain, and they more effective than our own agents at communicating the ups and downs along the chain and making sure that no one acted in haste to jeopardise things! Based on that experience we would highly recommend them.

Janene was also extremely helpful in chasing all parts of our chain to ensure we completed as fast as possible, keeping everyone up to date with the process. Ed was also really helpful and guided us through all of the paperwork, answering any questions we had with as much detail as possible to help us make the right decision for us. This company deleted my review!!! And renamed their estate agent from Mann Countrywide to Gascogine!! I DO NOT recommend this estate agency at all. At first I couldn't understand why on Google it had 5 stars, whilst I had such bad service, so I checked Trust Pilot, and that is where you learn the true side of this company. I am so extremely disappointed in how we were treated. They listed a house for a certain price, and then tried to basically "auction" it off to people who were 'interested' which was apparently 100 people. We had about 5 minutes viewing the place and then 25 minutes of chatting about how much we can offer above the asking price. Even when we gave above offer, it wasn't good enough as the estate agent (AKIL) was only after his commission. His conversation with us was screaming this. basically. The lies were never ending, and we know estate agencies lie but it was extreme. He disregarded our current situation and said that all that matters is the 'price' we can give. The only thing that mattered here was the ££££££ signs. We highly considered not giving an offer, just so that we wouldn't have to deal with this estate agency during the house exchange process, but we liked the house, to not do so. However, this is not us being mad about our offer being rejected - even after we gave above asking price - because apparently "the seller has chosen to go with someone who has offered WAAAAY above asking price and way above your offer" - highlighting that the estate agent was auctioning the property. Regardless of this attitude, what upset us is how we were treated by the agency. The service was just NOT good enough and not professional. Surely there is a code of ethics they need to abide by, and this guy completely did NOT. Money talks instead for him. I will never ever look in the direction of this estate agency again and I will not recommend it to anyone. Clearly everyone who's written reviews here did not experience this side of the agency and they must be fake; or the agency has asked for these reviews once a buyer has received above their initial asking price, due to the auctioning this company does. I have never experienced such bad service. From the first moment I called to enquire about the property, I knew that this estate agency was only after money and did not care about its clients. Rude and a passive aggressive attitude, as if I am not the customer and I am asking them to do ME a favour. Unbelievable. I will never forget this.

Melissa’s handling of our offer was unprofessional and deceptive. We were deliberately kept waiting for over a week, fed excuse after excuse, only to be told at the end that our offer wasn’t accepted. It was crystal clear that our offer was being strung along while another buyer waited for their mortgage approval, all so the seller could claw back a few extra hundred pounds. That’s not negotiation, that’s playing buyers against each other with zero transparency. No honesty. No respect for people’s time. Just games, delays, and misleading communication. This kind of behaviour seriously undermines trust and gives estate agents the bad reputation they’re famous for. If you’re a buyer, be very careful. If you expect straight answers or basic integrity, look elsewhere
