Any excuse to wheedle money out of you, with endless caveats about why parts of your deposit cannot be returned. Was told we had to pay an extra £30 because February had 28 days and we moved out start of March. Complained and got it removed. £125 for magical lease renewal forms which we didn't want as we were going on a rolling contract. Apparently £125 worth of photocopying had already been done (never saw them though) so were given the option of accepting the payment deduction or appealing against it. We needed the deposit back asap so we forced to agree to this. Crooks

i cannot describe in words how poor mann lettings are in every aspect. mushroom growing in my room, so so unclean and mucky upon moving into the property. their employees for customer service are so mind numbingly dumb and useless at even the most basic things. REPEATED problems EVERY SINGLE month of receiving calls (from someone who can barely speak English) about underpayment, overpayment, missed payments, etc. When we paid every month. i said to him "is that including the November rent?" twice, and then he hung up on me. my ending description of mann lettings is: money grabbing, pathetic, dumb, useless, stress provoking, uncaring, disgraceful company that shouldn't be allowed to exist. I will never use them again.

Abysmal service. The student accommodation I moved into was full of problems. The cooker was smoking each time it was used, the fridge freezer didn't work, the shower had no hot water running through it and the furniture was dirty. I had to call Mann Lettings every single day, multiple times a day, for weeks in order to get these basic repairs carried out (of which none were mentioned in the inventory!). They don't call you back when they say they will and claim not to be able to talk with the landlord, which is obviously not true. I also had to raise a dispute to receive my deposit back, which Mann Lettings were very unhelpful with, and so I would avoid this company at all costs.

I successfully sold my flat through Mann & Co in Beckenham, despite a few ups and downs at the beginning of the sale. I accepted 4 offers on my flat, all to be withdrawn because certain information was not divulged to the buyer until after the sale was agreed. After this matter was addressed, Lisa worked extremely hard to find a buyer and within the two week notice period I gave them to take my property off the market with Mann, she'd found a serious buyer, which progressed to completion within 4 months. I'm happy with how Mann & Co rectified the issues. My property was a difficult one to sell, being above a shop with extremely high service charges, and on a main road. Yet Lisa managed to find the right buyer. I had previously used KFH to market the property but didn't have many viewings, so choosing Mann & Co to represent this particular property was definitely the right choice in the end. The reason for a 3 Star review rather than a 4, is because of the initial problems mentioned above. I should not have had to remove my property off the market with them for them to provide the correct and full information to the potential buyers. Otherwise, a good service.

As a first time buyer, I couldn't have been happier with the service I received from Lisa at Mann. While other agents we had used were pushy in trying to sell their properties and often not arriving to viewings on time, Lisa was very professional in the way she carried out the viewing. She gave us plenty of time and space to look at the property, but was at hand to answer any questions we had. Once our offer was accepted, she kept in regular contact and no question was ever too much. Andrew also gave very good advice when we needed to chase our mortgage application with our lender. This excellent service made the purchase of our first home a straightforward and stress-free experience.

Had no hot water for over a week now. During the 13 months I've been living here the water has failed over and over. Sick of paying so much for a flat with a rubbish water heater. Nobody seems to want to get back to me to fix it this time round. I've also had workmen turn up unannounced to fix the water heater for downstairs (they need to access my flat to do so!!)
