Google1 star rating is too good I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS AGENT. Everytime I see an Abbott's advert I run in the next direction. My family is new to the UK and my wife was frank with Agent and explained our lack of experience in our initial meeting with the Agent from Basildon Office, we weren't looking for hand outs, My wife was head hunted to contribute to the NHS, we took this opportunity not because we needed it but because we always wanted to travel and see new places. Nonetheless we told him we will be relying heavily on his advice to secure a rented property. We had a particular property in mind we told him which one we wanted and he made us go through all the motions only to find out 5 DAYS before arriving in Basildon that we didn't qualify for the property. We lost our deposit to hold the property. Thank goodness her employers were sympathetic with our case and made alternative arrangements. Update: NOTICE THE AGENTS REPLY BELOW. They completely left out the fact that we weren't informed of the issues until a few days prior as a matter of fact here is an email sent on the 31st August 2019 which I yet to get a response on (NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY OR CALL TO FIND OUT IF WE WERE LIVING ON THE STREETS) (& this as of 12:42am 3rd October, 2019), also we were supposed to move in August 21st and got delayed by construction issues with property, so my question is why wasn't the checks completed as per the original move-in date because they had most of August and part of July. If checks were completed and our application rejected by the 21st August, 2019 it would have allowed us enough time to seek an alternative and yes we would have been happy to continue with the Agent, wasn't the landlord informed about our special circumstances by the Agent? NB: I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE MEASILY DEPOSIT BUT WHAT I CARE ABOUT IS THAT MY CHILD AND I WERE ALMOST HOMELESS. I DON'T WISH TO CONTACT THESE PEOPLE NOR DO I EVER WISH TO BE CONTACTED BY THEM. HERE IS THE EMAIL DATED 31/08/2019. YOU BE THE JUDGE Good day Mr. Chapman, We refer to the above captioned rental property. As I understand there has been some delay with process, I would like to have an explanation to develop an appreciation as to why at this 11th hour this application hasn't been completed as yet. I am sure you would appreciate that us (the applicant & her dependents) being foreigners, aren't aware of the entire proceedings and are depending on you to provide extraordinary advice and service to ensure that this process is as smooth as possible. My son and I are due to arrive next week and if this has not been sorted I am sure you can understand the debacle we will be facing. At this stage I would also like to obtain some assurances that this will be completed on or before the 5th September, 2019. We have already made our arrangements based on the promised date of moving in and expect furniture to be arriving at the captioned location on the 5th September, 2019. As I am sure you can appreciate the Landlord uses their own referencing agency and their criteria had to be met and I note that you were advised early on in the process that further information was required for the references to be satisfactory, however, I do note that there were lengthy delays with the provision of this information which also, unfortunately turned out to be insufficient. We do appreciate that you were relying upon other people providing these details, however this dependency did cause further delays. I can advise, at the request of the Landlord, your holding deposit was not returned due to these delays. I could have gotten through the last week or so without them they have helped me so much. Peter and Julianne spent all of their time and energy helping time through a tough time with a landlord and I cannot thank them or recommend them and abbots as a whole enough.

GoogleWe visited a number of Estate Agents in Ipswich as well as requested for additional information for properties that we looking at on line. Some agents did not bother to comeback to us, others came back but did not followed up. Its been a pleasure working with Abbotts in particular with Nicole and Leon who assisted when Nicole was not available. Leon through his knowledge of the area help with the background we needed to commit to the purchase Nicole you are a Star especially with all your help. Whilst I would have liked a cheaper price on the property I understand you were acting on behalf of your vender, you however came back with ideas to assist us make up our mind.

GoogleI both sold and bought a house through Abbotts Hunstanton. The sale was incredibly quick and smooth. Within a couple of days of the house going up for sale we had viewings and we completed on the sale shortly afterwards. In fact it was so quick that we had to move into rented accommodation whilst we completed on the purchase of our new home, which was dragging on! The purchase of our new property through a different agent did not go well and fell through unfortunately, due to structural problems. At this point, having sold our house, we were very worried about what we were going to do next! However, the team at Abbotts knew our requirements and found us the perfect property which we immediately put an offer on. Our offer was accepted and we completed - Abbotts made the process stress free and we really couldn't be happier with our amazing new home. I would definitely recommend Abbotts Hunstanton for anyone thinking of buying a property or selling their home.

GoogleI can honestly say that one could not expect better service from the Fakenham office of Abbotts. In particular, Shaye is positive, friendly and very professional, as is Emily. I did try having a second estate agent company look after my sale, but their service was not a patch of that given by the Abbotts Fakenham office, and the rival company was dumped after some months. I think it would be fair to say that the present political climate has had adverse effects on the UK housing market, but this has not affected the determination of this office, nor the positive and cheerful way with which each and every dealing is met. Definitely a 5-star award and highly recommended.

The new branch manager Peter is always willing to help and regularly checks in with information before I have thought to ask. I would strongly recommend current the team for anyone looking for a fully managed solution in Cambridge.
