GoogleWe have been dealing with Kerry and Gemma to let out our property. Both have been really helpful and knowledgeable from the start. A very professional and friendly service. They kept us informed throughout with viewings and managed to find a tenant quickly. Would definitely recommend!

GoogleAs a tenant I had very bad experience with Abbotts countrywide. Until we placed the money they were interested about everything especially to pay fees for every single step.After few months we had a problem with the washing machine. We made 10-15 emails and few calls and a month waiting, then we decided to get our Landlord number. Two days after the Landlord showed up with a new washing machine and he said that nobody informed him from Abbotts. But that is just a small problem. When our contract finished and wanted to renew they asked us to pay again for reference checking . We had not really known the law so we paid it again and for contract too. Then just came up the next year and the agent started to lying that the landlord wants to make a reference again or we can pay 6 month upfront without reference checking, but to our landlord they said that we want to pay 6 month upfront. (They didn't know that we are in contact with the landlord) 😁 Then when we told to them that is the third time we pay for reference, then agent said that the reference check had never done it. 🤣 Ok mate if never done it, then how had you rented out for us? Other thing that they never showed up for checking. So for Landlords is also the worst choice to use them. After few argument the landlord just kicked them out finally, but they had charged us again for renew the not exist contract. This agency is a real money scammer and doing nothing to help tenants or landlords. We wanted to bring the case to court but then decided to leave it and not waste our time for this cowboy branch. We were very happy to leave them and never ever use again. Abbotts! please don't send me an automatic answer for this review because is not for you, but to inform people to avoid you. ☝️😉NegativeQuality, Professionalism

GoogleI have owned a cottage in Southery (near Downham Market) for several years and which I purchased as a rental investment. I have used Abbotts as my Letting Agents throughout this period. As I live over a hundred miles away it is important to have a Letting Agent I can trust. I have always found Abbotts to be very helpful and professional in the service they provide. Recently I have had some new tenants move in and Gemma Cribb at Abbotts has handled that process very efficiently. I am most grateful to Gemma for all the work she undertook and for keeping me informed throughout. Abbotts charges are not the cheapest, but they do provide an excellent service and accordingly I believe those charges are justified.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleI would highly recommend Abbott’s to sell your house. Our property was agreed before the lockdown, but was obviously delayed due to solicitors not working. After, Jade at Abbott’s Basildon branch was fantastic! I live in Spain now so at times it was difficult for me to arrange things from here. Jade was brilliant at keeping me updated (and sane!), and chasing things up for me. She responded quickly to every e-mail and phone call, and made the process a whole lot easier for me! GoogleUnprofessional, rude, arrogant. Dale was involved with listing my parents property, made false promises and wasted their time. During a meeting he slagged off other estate agents and made rude comments about other people. My mother felt they were being bullied into paying for extra services that she didn't think they were supposed to pay for. Needless to say we withdrew and won't be going back! Horrid experience!
