Where do start… not only are the girls who work in the office amazing at their jobs but they have been so incredibly kind and supportive in so many other ways. Worst experience I ever had with unprofessional staff, and I’m talking about the estate agents Abbotts in Downham Market. Having in hands the valuation report (from the lenders)of the property we were purchasing, we came across with the unpleasant situation of the building being undervalued by £25k!!!! I emailed Sam and she didn’t bother to inform the vendors but instructed us to ask for a second valuation from a different lender. When I asked if they will respect and accept the results of the second valuation, she just didn’t reply, and the manager decided to step up only to tell us the same thing. Really Kamile? Without explaining to the vendors that their property was not worth that much according to the bank? Or it was your mistake, having overpriced the property and then who cares? But, to your unfortunate luck, today I was viewing another property, and after explaining what had happened and we were back in the market, the agent told me that the vendor was buying from them, and they had only found out today what had happened, because no one bothered to explain to them from Abbotts. So my offers actually never been received. Prove me wrong!! Congratulations for destroying our dreams, and your client’s of course. You do not worth even one star. I have all the emails to prove my case, and your cheap excuses. Shame on you

Absolutely shocking service. Never any communication. Constantly having to chase via phone and email to get answers, even though I am paying them roughly £100 pcm to ‘manage’ my property. Keep taking extra money from rent for extras when told twice that I don’t want any extras at all. Kerrie promised the most amazing service when I decided to go with abbots, after telling her the previous bad experience with lettings agents but she doesn’t seem to know what she’s doing at all, no one does! Still waiting for a response from early last week, have chased 4 times with no answer. Wouldn’t recommend Abbots at all - stay well clear.

Started the process of looking for a first house purchase when living abroad in the US. Stephen Huff was really helpful and wasn’t phased by the additional issue of looking to complete when not even in the country! Circumstances changed and we were able to move back to the UK so put the search on hold, not an issue and despite not having paid Steve a penny, he was still happy to maintain our file and wait until we were in a position to buy again. A few months later, solid advice and we had an offer in on a house and a mortgage offer in hand but, unfortunately purchase fell through, again, no issue for Stephen and yet again he was helpful and patient while we continued the search. When we finally found the one we wanted we needed another mortgage offer - easily sourced by Stephen. Finally completed earlier this week and in no small part thanks to Stephen Huff and the team. Highly recommend the use of a mortgage advisor and especially Abbotts.
