I just want to say the BIGGEST thank you to Peter for all his help! Due to a big problem to do with a landlord withdrawing 2 days before key handover we were facing very scary times but thanks to Peter we are now in a lovely home with so much space for our children! He worked so so hard all hours under the sun to make sure we still had a property to move into on the day we had planned! I have never met anyone who cares about tenants as much as he does and his experience and knowledge really shown through! I will forever be so so grateful that we had Peter helping us, this is something I will never forget. He really is the most amazing person. Thank you so much

I inquired about a property for rent and spoke to Alex who managed to set up a viewing for the property an hour later which I then met rose who showed me around and from there the girls were first class with everything they had my checks and all paperwork ready within 72hrs they took care of everything that needed to be done kept me informed at all times and within a week I was moved in to my new home I can not fault them at all very professional and very quick thank you girls for a great smooth transition

The most god awful experience from start to finish !!! Was made aware of a guard dog in the garden of the property before accepting to rent and was promised a number of times it would be taken care of. Upon arrival, after having packed up all our belongings and arriving at the new property we was greeted by our “promise” still being in the garden along with months of feces !! The manager Chris continuously buried his head in the sand and didn’t even have the decency to take a phone call from us. After being promised (again) that if we weren’t happy we could leave and not lose our deposit we was greeted with yet another surprise (after god knows how many failed attempts to make contact) we was informed that he no longer works for the company !! After being in the property for a week or so we were pleasantly greeted by a Rat whilst trying to enjoy the sun in the fece infested garden ! I could go on and on about how many attempts we have made to contact the agents with no success, or when we have been promised (again, shock) to have a return call or email it has not happened. Not one of the “agents” take any ounce of responsibility. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!

Our whole experience with Abbotts was an absolute pleasure. Some months ago, our Landlady gave us 2months to move out of her apartment because it's been sold, we were online searching for months but we couldn't get any good house. One good day my husband walked in to the Basildon Abbott office, Chris, Alex and the team did a wonderful job, they are very helpful and friendly. Less than 2weeks they got us a wonderful apartment. One of the WORSE experiences I have had with a letting agency!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!!! They will make you sign completely unethical terms and conditions when you join (fine prints) and when you question their practice after you're no longer using their services, PETER the manager will attempt to argue with you and eventually put the phone down on you when you're making sense and he can't respond!!!. THEY HAVE AN AGREEMENT WITH OVO ELECTRICITY COMPANY TO TAKE OVER THE ELECTRICITY OF YOUR HOUSE...even when they know that there are no tenants in the house and they're no longer managing your house! No emails, no calls to remind or let you know that they have done this...I asked the manager why??? He said I should take it up with head office!...I think that says enough!

I chose Abbotts to sell my flat in July . Started off great until they closed the deal with me. Then once it was live on website, there was no communication I had to chase and chase for weeks and months for an update. The flat was not sold nor did they care about my situation being heavily pregnant and needing a quick sale. To be honest David was alright when he was at work. I can honestly say from July to October I’ve had about 3 calls from them , I complained to customer service and they promised to be contacted more often but that didn’t change anything . Finally gave up as still not been called back after 3 weeks of trying, then on Friday I told them that I’m picking up my keys and they took it off the market/website the same day😂. They’re quick to do that but I’m still waiting for a call back after 3 weeks 😂 honestly it’s shocking. Personally I would NEVER use this agent again. Maybe buying /letting is different but selling is a hard no.
