GoogleAs students looking for a flat to rent, my boyfriend and I had experienced a lot of disappointment with other lettings agents and our patience was wearing somewhat thin after months of searching. Christopher contacted us about a flat we had enquired about in the morning, and by the afternoon most everything was arranged and sorted. We can’t commend his communication and cheerful professionalism enough. We are certain that the rest of the process will be as smooth as it has been thus far. The whole process has been a welcome relief.

GoogleHave spent the last 8 days trying to reserve a new build plot that is being advertised with Abbotts. Everything we were asked to do was done either the same day or within 12 hours of being requested. We were financially qualified within 24 hours and ready to reserve. We chased and chased and chased to no avail. We didn't anticipate having to chase Abbotts for a week to reserve the requested plot only to then throw in the towel because a complete lack of faith in the new home site they are representing. We were continuously told the new home site hadn't got back to them, fair enough.... however the nail in the coffin was on the 08th day from initial enquiry when I had a call to say "Are you still interested because if not we have someone else who wants to reserve it"..... Hang on, haven't I been the one chasing you for reservation for over a week!? Then because I've been sent an email and not responded within 4 hours I'm being told to hurry up! All I will say is if they do have someone wanting the plot they are more than welcome to it and wish them all the very best in reserving it, perhaps this time it will go through quicker than a week!! Reserved a plot today with another developer whereby the property was viewed and reserved within 4 hours as we expected it would have been with Abbotts. I won't leave an unfair review and have therefore left 3 stars as Spencer was a nice chap, gave time to explain things when asked and seemed professional. Have knocked 2 stars off for the complete run around over the last week, lack of organisation including being sent a reservation form with one price only to then have to sign the same form with a higher price, and also the final phone call received advising someone else wanted the plot when we had been chasing a week to reserve and still were at the time of the call! Makes me wonder if they had a preferred application, perhaps from someone without a chain and wanted to push on with them instead, who knows!?

GoogleI can't recommend Abbotts Colchester enough! They are an incredibly professional and friendly team and I could not have purchased my home without the help of Spencer and Max. Spencer went above and beyond to ensure we could move into our first home before Christmas. He communicated with me every step of the way and that made me feel at ease. If you're looking to purchase/sell your home, these guys have been incredible! Thank you all again for everything you've done for me!

GoogleAVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!! Cannot give 0 stars unfortunately The most incompetent agents I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with! Appalling photos of my property, Also marketed my 1bedroom house as a 2bedroom, I had to sack them! Went to Diggins afterwards which were a world apart(for the better), go there instead!

GoogleI honestly can't thank Hannah Felton enough she has gone above & beyond to get an ongoing issue resolved for me once & for all, she was the only person that listened to me as I reported this issue when I moved in 4 years ago & she has persevered since May/June of this year right up till now where today I've finally had a date confirmed for work to go ahead, thankyou so much for always being on the end of the phone Hannah, you've been amazing !!!!

GoogleI recently bought a property at Abbott’s and rented through the same branch, I was told when placing the offer I would be helped with the fees, and when it came to the nittygritty task of try to get hold of the manger to discussed my calls was disregarded. I had to pay unfair fees when I was told that the landlord on had the market service that would cost £400 for the early end of tenancy, instead charged £1100! I need this investigated....

GoogleHi, Sarah at Abbott’s has been great for my company Pearl Properties Ltd. We have a constantly relied on Sarah to advise us about our property portfolio. We have lots of properties in the local area and Sarah has allways come up with the goods in respect of finding new tenants for us, meeting the rental deadlines and supplying us with good tenants. GoogleI have resenly rented a property in Chelmsford and I can honestly say that dealing with Abbotts has been first class, my agent was Jessica and from the first phone call I made to Abbotts was to Jessica a lovely young lady who is well on top of things with updates, information and keeping me in touch with what's happening and when, they even carry out follow up calls after you have moved in to check all is well. I would totally recommend Abbotts to anyone looking to rent, friendly helpful service.

GoogleWow, absolutely amazing team. I was selling a property for the first time and Dean did not disappoint, from the very first time I met him he was super helpful and during the selling process he continuously provided updates to myself and the buyer. I was also recommended the inhouse mortgage advisor, Adam, who did not disappoint, always working with me to find the perfect and most suitable deal. One thing that stood out about Dean & Adam was that they never needed to brag about how good they are, their work did the speaking. Abbotts are really a one stop shop for all purchasing/buying needs, I highly recommend.
