I am a Landlord and used Your Move to find a tenant. It was my first time using an agency to find tenants, so was apprehensive, particularly about the cost. They were very helpful and friendly. I felt they worked in my interests to get an excellent price for the property. Regarding the cost, I now understand there is a lot more work involved than I thought. So appreciate why they cost what they do.

I had an appalling experience with the Keighley branch who asked twice for a 5 star review following my acceptance of an offer. Their service following my acceptance was almost non existent. I had to chase them all through the process to ensure my buyer was making progress from appointing a solicitor through to advising the branch that we were exchanging contracts 2 days before the event. The branch manager inserted a higher (non-standard) percentage fee in their fee agreement document which he changed when I picked this up, however he went on to invoice this higher amount to my conveyancer on completion. It took me nearly 2 weeks and several conversations, visits and an escalation, to get my overcharge re-imbursed. Definitely one to avoid.

We have moved in around 1.5 months ago, and when we had moved in, the property was disgusting, there was dust literally everywhere, the furniture was not arranged and the balcony was filled with pigeon droppings. And after all the discussions, finally they had arranged a cleaner after 6 days.Then the dishwasher was not working since we moved in, they took around 3 weeks for the engineer to come in, the engineer said that the dishwasher needs to be replaced. I tried to talk to the property maintainance manager, but she keeps saying, I’m sorry , I’m sorry, but really didn’t do anything, been 5 weeks since we moved in, yet the dishwasher is still not fixed. It’s just so frustrating to deal with them.

3 weeks after purchasing the property we rented for 6.5 years, we are FIGHTING to get our deposit returned. Several times various members of staff from both branch and head office have lied about what they are doing to help progress the situation. Nobody follows up on what they say they’re going to do.In June 2022 they changed some of their internal IT systems, which meant that a “ glitch” was showing our deposit as £250 less than we paid, and apparently we paid it 5.5 years after moving in??… After evidencing original contracts, paperwork and deposit protection certificate showing the correct amount, we are still having to argue the correct sum to be returned.

Truly the most awful company I've ever received any type of customer service from. The Nottingham branch is incompetent, completely lacking in any customer service skills and if you use these people you will ultimately lose money. They managed the property for 12 months (we agreed an 8% rate but they charged 10% and never reimbursed). My dad went to the property to sort a minor repair and the tenant informed him that he was leaving the property in 2 weeks. I called Your Move and they said this is untrue. After checking their emails, they confirmed the tenant had actually emailed them and they didn't see it. Staggering incompetence. I told them to re-let it immediately so I don't miss the rent. They didn't do an exit report and had to be prompted to do so. They missed several items for which I had to personally resolve. It's been 2 months and they still haven't rented it out - despite it being a great property in an excellent location. My advice is steer clear of these clowns. Awful awful awful company that shouldn't be anywhere near the property industry

Do not use this company they tell you one thing then lie. My father in law asked to view a house in Annesley to be told they will get back to him on Tuesday this was Monday to be rang on Tuesday to say how did the viewing go... he said you never booked me in to view it....yourmove then said I'll speak to the Cliant and come back to you..... 2 days later calls my father up and says how did the viewing go. To my father's response this is the 2nd time now you have done this don't bother.....rightmove you should be ashamed of yourself, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you have a house on the market with these your probably wondering why your not selling your house. Because they don't show people round them. My father in law was 100% interested in this property and now you lost a sale of 240k. If your staff cannot be bothered to do viewings then tell them to find a job that don't involve getting off there backside.

Made homeless in January section 21. Your move completely useless. Have tried several times to contact the end of lease department to speak to the operations manager who I have e mailed 2 times also copying in the CEO but no response. When I submitted an official complaint to You Move in April, after several chases by myself I was replied to at the end of May to say I had 2k worth of arrears despite being out of the property for over 4 months . I immediately asked for an explanation and where these ‘arrears’ had come from and over 6 weeks later no reply. I need confirmation from the operations manager(as he’s apparently the only one in Your Move that can give me this information) that there are no arrears on my file (which I know there is not) so I can apply for a new property without the referencing coming back negative and wasting £300 for referencing fees. No one is replying and no one is helping. I am a single mum with two young children who have had to move to an overcrowded house 50 miles away and I need to move back to Ashford as my son is due to start secondary school at his old school in Ashford. Your move do not care about you unless they are gaining from it

The sales manager who handled my case went far above and beyond to get my house sold, after a sale with a previous estate agent failed.Cara Smith at Watford Your Move is an exemplary agent. She got my sale on track so that I did not lose the house I wanted to buy, and negotiated on my behalf with the Northampton branch, when, indeed, the house I was buying had been resold to other purchasers.I really cannot praise her highly enough: in my mind, she is 100% responsible for the happy situation in which I now find myself. The rest of the sales teams, in both Northampton and Watford, have also been highly supportive and pro-active.

GoogleI’m am very grateful to Anish and Alan for their hard work dealing with the sale of my house. I had a tenant that refused to leave and was lacking a lot of paperwork work, Ruby was very helpful at the start when I was deciding how to proceed. Alan and Anish advised me every step of the way, did running around for me ( I live in Western Canada ) and kept in touch with my eventual buyer keeping them in the loop and keeping the sale alive and on track despit all the delays. Everything worked out and in the end and would highly recommend Your Move in Whitton to everyone looking for a professional estate agent.
