Ridiculous system of completing a complicated and intrusive application before even being invited to view the property . Everything has to be done by email … woman working from home going through the forms apparently - ridiculously unprofessional . Anybody in any other Newton Fallowell department - unhelpful , stating they are nothing to do with Rentals .. abysmal . Didn’t even deserve the one star - not sure now that we’d want to rent from such a company / landlord

It's strange that they require you to complete intrusive forms before you can even view one of their properties! Perverse and off-putting! Unnecessary gatekeeping to say the least. They also send you an anonymous SMS labelled "Property" which is creepy.

Unprofessional today had 6 emails confirming time 12pm had a phone call to say 15 minutes late then another phone call to say 12.45pm as the key's was at the other office and as this was Friday afternoon they were stuck in traffic. I was a cash buyer unfortunately I've lost my trust in this company,previously had dealings with them not very good recommendation! db roberts is first class.

Having tried another agent in town who promised the world and then let us down, we turned to Newton Fallowell. I can honestly say I regret not giving them the chance on day 1, they buck the trend of traditional estate agent stereotypes. We found them honest, professional and above all they acted with integrity. Adam’s knowledge of the local area and advice of how to pitch our home was expert and clear. I think the key thing compared to other agents, is the support didn’t stop when the sale was agreed, Adam made sure the sale went through, even when challenges arose. From day one, to exchange of contracts they went above and beyond to serve our needs. I can’t thank Adam, Jason & the team enough. If you want an agent that will actually deliver what they promise and are honest and true to their word, these are the guys.

Penny-pinching slumlords

I was a tenant for five years. I wasn't very clever and never challenged the annual rent increase of £50. I eventually found out I was paying more than £150 compared to my neighbours. I asked them if I could get a cat and pay for my own pocket to have high speed internet cable run throughout the house. They said sure I can enhance the property. No cat though. After I moved out, they sent me an email, subject, 'message'. In that email, they listed things they thought I should repay them for, including a loose toilet roll holder that was loose when I moved in. Most egregious, this list was not totaled and had a convenient item £350 towards future renovations!! After I had moved out. There were no renovations on the property through the five years I lived there and when I moved in I had to ask an emergency handyman to fit a latch to an upstairs window for my contents insurance. I hope the team at Newton-Fallowell are not very proud of themselves. I did not have a very good experience with this company and I would never recommend them to others. They are heartless, cruel and clearly money-grabbing. I'll gladly reconsider this review should they reimburse me the £350 they stole from me.
