GoogleThis Estate agents is the worst around. We had been going through a purchase of property that took 10 months to never complete. One issue after another and the service from Amy and Oliver wasn’t good. Oliver couldn’t keep track of the lies he was telling from day one saying he had spoken directly to the seller’s solicitors and he never did. Saying he had “ contacts to contact people about a one going issue with the property we trying to purchase”to then suddenly he had no idea what we was on about.
We would phone to talk to either Amy or Oliver for an update on the property from a previous phone call a week before. To Amy not being kept in the loop and have no idea what has happened in her time away. Communication between the both of them needs to be worked on.
Amy sent multiple emails stating that the delay was from our side of the chain and that we were the reason the sale hadn’t completed yet. When we had sold our property and moved out a few days prior to receiving this email. Out of fear that our buyers were going to pull out.
Now fast forward 3 months since our sale and the purchase never went through. We were expected to pay out even more money into a property we yet didn’t own to change the title deeds . So we cut our losses and pulled out. After months of stress and anxiety from being told the seller was going to pull their lower offer on the property if it wasn’t complete in 2 weeks. To then them saying they have no idea what we are talking about when we have email proof of this. The treatment was unacceptable. They don’t care about the customer purchasing.
Also Amy claiming we was completing on day that our solicitor hadn’t even agreed to and hadn’t agreed with us as the buyers and none of us knew anything about it other then Amy and the sellers solicitors and they expected a 48 hour turn around which was never going to happen as the property couldn’t be bought with a mortgage in the end anyway.
It got to the point our solicitor told us to stop communicating with the staff as they were causing more complications and giving out false information from sellers solicitors.

Thanks for your review. I think we both know that ultimately you were not quite sure about the property and changed your mind having considered it being too small for your requirements. We can see this from your enquiries to view other properties whilst you were proceeding with the purchase. You did also pull out at an earlier stage, then decide to continue with the purchase, before again changing your minds again.
We get it, moving is stressful and we were trying to help things along as much as possible but its not our responsibility to set dates just to encourage the process along.
In our oppinion it was your solicitors poor communication and your lenders requirements which led to delays. Your lender required deeds of variation which complicated matters and led to the case dragging on. Again not our fault.
The fact that you never raised a complaint during the process or after, then reverted to leaving a nasty review, also shows the general public that you dont have a case to complain about. We feel you are just lashing out at us due to you making a wrong decision which led to financial cost. Again not our fault.
Consequently we have a new buyer for the property now and we have recommended they buy your searches and enquiries from you to try and help alliviate some of the cost and help you out. This is not something a poor agent would do or consider !

GoogleIf Carlsberg did estate agents, they’d probably still be taking notes from Newton Fallowell.
Firstly, Steve, the valuer and brochure wizard. If you’re looking for an agent who’ll tell you exactly what you want to hear just to win your instruction, Steve isn’t your man. He comes highly recommended, and gives honest, realistic valuations without the usual sales patter. I’ve sold two properties in the last year, and both sold either at the asking price or within 5% of his valuation. That tells you everything you need to know.
Then there’s Kayrn and Kelly in the office, who deserve medals for the amount of chasing they do. Solicitors dragging their feet? They’ll be on it. Need an update? They’ll get one. Got a question? They’ll answer it. Nothing ever seems too much trouble. They’re lovely people, and add a personal touch, making what can be a stressful process feel much easier.
The whole team is friendly, efficient, easy to contact and actually does what they say they’re going to do.
If you want a quick sale, regular updates, & people who answer the phone, use Newton Fallowell. If you prefer waiting three days for a callback, hearing “we’ve left a message” for the 47th time, and wondering what’s happening with your sale, feel free to use another estate agent.
A final note, if I’ve left anyone out, I apologise. Everyone I’ve dealt with at Newton Fallowell has been brilliant; Steve, Kayrn and Kelly are simply the people I’ve had the most contact with throughout the process. Newton Fallowell are an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish.

From the moment we walked through the door of what is now our new home, we knew it was the house we wanted, and Abbie played a huge part in helping make that happen. She conducted the viewing brilliantly and had great knowledge of the property, answering our questions and making us feel confident throughout the process.
As with many house purchases, there were a few obstacles along the way involving the chain and solicitors, but Abbie was excellent at staying on top of everything. She was proactive, responsive and always kept us updated. Her no-nonsense approach when chasing solicitors was exactly what we needed at times and really helped keep things moving forward!
