I dealt with Abbotts between March and August,2022, selling my house in Stowmarket and purchasing my present home in Gretna, Dumfriesshire, Scotland. Miss Macrow valued my house and, from the outset, I found her to be professional, knowledgeable and informative, and very pleasant in her approach. Having secured the option on my Gretna house I was keen to get the deal done, was impatient to move, and increasingly so when I felt it was taking a long time to complete. As a result, I was a very regular visitor to Abbotts and on every visit, Miss Macrow would calmly answer all my queries, make telephone calls if necessary explain everything and I would leave the office feeling relieved and reassured. In the event of her absence I found her two staff members to be polite and helpful on every occasion. Many of the delays in the process were created by persons who were not part of the Abbotts team. Looking back on the whole experience there is nothing at all that I could criticise and would say that Miss Macrow’s team of that time was a great credit to her and that she herself is a significant asset to Abbotts, Stowmarket.

I had a very bad experience with this agency specially Holly and Reec. I had a viewing which was arrange by Holly and I drove 2hrs journey to view a apartment when we reached Holly had no keys for the apartment and made us to come to view in 1hr time and she promised she will show us in 1hr time however after a long wait she was unable to show us the apartment and promised us that in the following week she will do the video tour and send it over, guess what she came with a reply stating the apartment is no more available however she promised us a new property and advised us that since she will be going on holiday in next week Reec work colleague will assist us with further details on it and still Reec disappointed us full week giving different excuses. Very bad experience with this agency.

Having just purchased our property through Abbotts in Watton, we would highly recommend them. We dealt mostly with Lynn and she was brilliant at chasing for updates when it appeared solicitors were being slow. Lynn was away when we exchanged and completed but the rest of the team knew where we were up to and continued seamlessly (and I think we spoke to them all at some point). The whole team are brilliant at calling back when they say they will, even if its just to let you know that they are waiting for updates.

Visited Abbotts few months ago around mid second quarter and came across the Dean Starkey who took the time and actually listened to what we were looking for. Didn't judge, honest from the beginning. Every property he showed us ticked the basic requirements we had asked for. Even though we went for a property not in the location we began our search in, Dean was nothing but an absolute gem. He is honest, patient and remarkable customer service skills. Be honest with him and he will find you properties you are looking for. Of all the agencies I've used, Dean from Abbotts stand out. From the beginning till date, he has been professional, no BS, no sugar coating, time wasting. That's what I asked for and he did not disappoint one bit. Even though we ended up making an offer elsewhere (mainly to do with location) we decided to use Dean's recommended surveyor. We know who we will go to when it's time to sell. It's the people who work there make the brand and Dean upholds those values.
