GoogleI did put an offer for a property with Abbotts, I've asked to provide decision in principle which I did and again I was asked to see their mortgage advisor with all the documents if this is correct. My mortgage broker is from a renowned company, I've provided my mortgage advisor phone number email etc. Still sales negotiator wanted me to go with all the documents. I found they are too pushy and they do not believe the paperwork I've provided. They think they are better then other estate agents in Ipswich. If you have to buy or sell via them, I would advise to avoid them.

GoogleI relocated to ipswich 6 months ago with my family for a new job and a fresh start and Abbotts helped to make this daunting process a lot easier. Although there have been a few teething issues with the property (which I suspect were mainly due to the previous tenants not reporting issues or looking after the property) These have all been resolved swiftly and I cant thank Olivia and Damian at the Ipswich Branch enough for their support and understanding. My family and I are now looking forward to a happy tenancy until I am able to buy our own home in the area.

They also listened to my frustrations with how long the process was taking and spent hours of their valuable time chasing solicitors on my behalf. This has been my first experience of them and I will be sure to remember them in the future if I have need of an estate agent. Thank you for all that you did to help me get settled in my new home!

GoogleIf I could give you a zero star I would. Leaving you in charge of a property and our lives was a massive mistake. The lack of communication in your company is by far the best - in that you come top of the table. This is the most unprofessional group of people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. To anyone who is debating whether or not to have them "look after" your property I would not even give them a second glance let alone a first. I would say unfortunately but it is your own doing, even the lettings manager doesn't seem to know what is going on with her staff and despite us being more than cooperative she has actively destroyed our reputation with the landlord because it is easier to blame tenants than to admit that they can't let a property. Stop lying to landlords and maybe do your job properly instead.

GoogleMark has been brilliant. We went to the first appointment thinking we were going to be a difficult case with some peculiar circumstances, but Mark rose to the challenge and had our financial future assured in less than an hour, with a few options to think about. On the second and third meetings, everything he proposed came true and we were accepted by the lender based on his numbers, and we've come away with an affordable mortgage that fits our needs, short term circumstances and longer term plans extremely well. He's got a really nice way about him that makes you feel comfortable, and he really knows his stuff, as proven by throwing difficult questions at him and getting an immediate, correct, reply. GoogleUnfortunately Abbotts have let us down very badly since we moved into 5 Cow Cottages Ashen CO10 8JP even though they did some of the repairs Abbotts have continuously let the landlord get away with not carrying out repairs to the said property & this has been going on since we moved in on the 28/10/2017 so i would NOT Recommend Abbotts lettings to anyone on the move from said address on the 27/07 19 wow what a relief because nothing has improved in regards to the service we have received over the past 21 months I am sure Abbotts Countrywide as a whole are a good company but unfortunately their Bury St Edmunds branch is the biggest let down ever for customer service hated the whole experience with them unfortunately especially when we have been honest throughout and rent fully paid up to date such a shame they took notice of a 3rd party landlord who's name don't even appear on the contract I would download all the photographic evidence but it would be too embarrassing for the genuine people who work for Abbotts Countrywide.
We have come across your Google Review this morning and we feel saddened to read this. I’m sure you can understand that we act on behalf of the Landlord and his decisions with his property, which I appreciate has been frustrating for yourselves but we have to act accordingly. GoogleMe and my girlfriend are currently looking for somewhere to rent in and around Bury St Edmunds to move very soon. I contacted the office last week and spoke with a lady called Kerry who was very polite and friendly who passed me over to her colleague Vivien. She took down our details to see if she can find the right property for us and was helpful. They didn’t have what we are looking for last week, but have contacted us today and booked us in for a viewing this week. We've found the service really good so far and fingers crossed the property is for us as it ticks all of the boxes!

One of the employees Bukola inparticular was very pro active, and worked really hard to get everything processed quickly and efficiently. Also Ben who works in the same branch was equally as helpful. GoogleI criticize estate agents often as they often get things wrong and make things difficult however Abbots have found my last 3 tenants now over the past 4 years and each time they have been very easy to deal with and have made the letting process for me very simple. The tenants they have found have also been ideal.
