James and his team were great to deal with, unlike one of the other Newton Abbot estate agents (we were 15 weeks into another property purchase and were being totally messed about by the seller's agent - mentioning no names YM)! After deciding enough was enough- we started our search again and totally fell in love with a Fine and Country property. Being in a chain which had just about completed- we were desperate for a quick turn around and James Cooper and his very proficient team helped turn our subsequent property purchase around in 5 weeks. James and co were really professional, helpful and communicative and above all honest!- just what you need when going through the adventures of moving home! I would definitely use Fine and Country again!

A really excellent, pro-active service. The guide price was suggested by the agent who then identified the most likely buyers (from overseas) amongst those viewing, spent some considerable time answering their queries and achieved a sale at the full asking price within three weeks from launch. The agent continued to be involved with both parties and their lawyers right up to exchange and completion. We couldn't have had a better experience.

Highly recommended. Thank you so much to James at Fine and Country for getting our house purchase over the line. It was a reasonably complex sale and James was representing the seller but he was a fantastic help to both sides throughout. We found him to be open, honest and trustworthy, he kept the communication flowing throughout and when there were bumps in the road he navigated them calmly and professionally. Not a good experience. They act like they are doing you a favour in showing you the property, are rude about upselling mortgage services, and couldn't even be bothered to spell our names correctly. They also don't especially like dealing with Londoners, it seems. Your mileage may vary as they have a fair bit of the market around Maidstone, but we had higher expectations.

A relationship manager ensured that on the occasions when lawyers were, perhaps, not progressing things as one of us might wish, a gentle nudge in the right direction got things back on track. The liaison with the seller was made so much easier by the fact that F&C gave their support, and many things that were not strictly down to them were made easier as a result. “I have recently been helped by Jan Von Draczek of Fine and Country. Jan helpfully assisted me in recovering a substantial sum of money from the landlord-tenant deposit protection scheme against a defaulting tenant who caused significant damage to my property. Jan was at all times courteous, professional, pro-active, responsible and is an asset to any estate agent back office operation. Many people believe that estate agents are good at the “sale” and not so good in the “after - sale”. Jan was a refreshing breath of air and not only did he diligently chase up this matter for me, but kept me updated, informed and reassured throughout the entire process. Useless estate agent. They forget details, don't know who you are when you've met them so may times before. Rely on old tricks to drive up the price of the property. One of them tried to tell me the cost of a property is NOT based on what the market will pay for it. Idiot.

We have just had the worst experiance. We have paid £900 for a cheesy vidieo & glossy brochure. The sales agents do not comunicate with each other or the client. Phone calls & ? Not returned.in 1 instance 4 days & clint went on holiday for a month not returning call prior to going Rachel & laurence very personable but still no action when we complained. Will not be recommending & have wasted £900 better spent else where. There does not appear to be any leadership or comit ment to the client who at the end of the day are paying a high premiunm for nothing.

Liars and shysters. They collaborate with sellers to trick buyers into bidding wars following their phoney open days and when you are near completion they will ask you to up your offer or lose the property leaving you with your conveyancing and solicitors bill for nothing. Their agents are all self-employed commission-only and desperate for your cash

The sale of our property, 54 Pond Cottage was handled with dedication and professionalism by Chris and Alex from the outset. Attractive particulars, sound presentation advice, correct pricing.
