We can highly recommend Fine and Country Bishops Stortford. Our first initial contact was with Paula who was extremely professional and knowledgeable. She put us at ease and we felt confident that our sale was in the right hands. Debbie was OUTSTANDING. In what became a complex, difficult sale, she worked tirelessly to resolve all the issues that emerged. She initially introduced our buyers, who had seen our property but weren’t sold on the garden size. She encouraged them to take a look and they fell in love with it. Her communication skills are excellent and she kept us informed every step of the way. I really think that without her relentless input we may have thrown in the towel. The last few days were very stressful with mortgage offers expiring, vendors going back on original agreements and short windows of time, however, Debbie came through for us, even whilst she was ill. Thankyou so much for your effort and hardwork!!!

We chose Fine and Country from a short list of three, slimmed down from an initial list of ten in our geographic area and after getting advice from people who knew the local market and local estate agents. We interviewed all three on the short list and eventually chose F&C because they seemed to us to be the most professional. Why? Because their approach was realistic and not gushingly enthusiastic and because we thought that their experience profile of potential buyers best suited the kind of property we owned and wished to sell. Their preparations of the' sales pack' before general launch were good as was the flow up needs. The market seemed to have gone flat when we launched but they soon had a core of potential buyers who viewed and we soon got an offer. They also behaved responsibly when we had accepted an offer and within hours got another at a much higher price, informing us of it. We decided to stay with the original offer despite the lower price. I asked them to recommend solicitors and house clearance people, the solicitor recommendation turned out be a problem because of their business model of using a robot to conduct the process, but their recommendation of house clearance people was first class as they too were highly professional They did a good job for us on all of the three criteria of our needs. Throughout the process they were very responsive our needs and always answered our many questions. We have moved 8 times in 60 years and have a lot of experience but the last time was over 30 years ago and we were astonished that the modern process had become much more bureaucratic without seeming to add much extra value for either buyers or sellers. Given that this is the modern way, they worked hard and proactively to bring the bureaucratic process imposed solicitor 'ping pong' to a satisfactory conclusion being very proactive throughout the entire proceedings from initial approach to conclusion. We believe that they were the most professional and effective of all the estate agents that we used in our many moves. Generally there is a perception of Estate Agents which is often less than complementary. I can only speak of my personal experience with the sale of our property expertly managed by Paula & Debbie at Fine & Country Bishop's Stortford. Selling our home of 20+ years during a period of time when the Government turned the economy on its head and all but destroyed the financial markets was never going to be easy, and it wasn't, our buyers had to jump through hoops to secure their funding and there was all the usual issues with surveys, reports, and solicitors which added to the stress. The professionalism of Paula and Debbie was exemplary, both with the sale of our property, and helping us with issues on the home we moved to. These experts in their field could not possibly be labeled with the title of a common or garden estate agent they are Home Transplant Consultants, and we are very grateful to have had them on our side.
