GoogleWe have been absolutely delighted with the support the Curchods team has given us throughout the process of letting our property for the first time. We hadn’t used a property agent before so approached a few different options, and found the Curchods team to be always hugely responsive, approachable, friendly and professional. No question was too basic or complicated. Particular shout out to Lucy Etty who is brilliant and so supportive.

GoogleAlthough the staff were polite and friendly, I had a very negative experience using this company when trying to purchase two grade 2 listed properties in northiam and bodiam. The owner of the northiam property would not confirm if the private drainage was compliant and we waited weeks and it cost us over £2000. The owner would not progress the sale when we offered an alternative way forward. I complained to the branch manager. He showed my complaint to other staff members but never replied to me. The property went straight back on the market even though the vendor would not sort out the drainage and the company completely disregarded my concerns. The next purchasers might fall into the same situation we did and the company do not want to take any responsibility regarding how this effects the buyers. The second property in bodiam was just coming on the market and was disclosed to us that a member of staff was related to the vendor. They assured as the sale could move quickly and if the drainage was not compliant the vendor would sort it out. We agreed to the full asking price and waited for the compliance to be confirmed. We waited another 2 weeks but still wasn't told if it was compliant and also if it was not we would need to pay towards it. The cottage is now back on the market at £20k more than the original price! What I experienced does not seem very professional. BEWARE of private drainage and false promises.

GoogleCurchods did a great job in selling our late parents’ home at a sad and stressful time for the family. Phill was sympathetic in valuing and advising how best to prepare and market the property, and then waited for us to contact him when we were ready to start the process. We had several viewings and offers on the house very early on, all from serious buyers. Alex negotiated well and did an excellent job keeping us informed and keeping the sale on track. Huge thanks to Alex, Phill, Spencer and the rest of the team at Curchods Ottershaw. We would not hesitate to recommend them.
