Appalling level of service. I have been letting my property for 2 years with Abbotts and was assured the first inspection was completed. I didn't feel the need to follow up with this, as I pay for a 'managed' service so wanted to reduce my time spent and in turn additional stress. It has now come to light when asking for evidence of this (due to the tenants reluctance at me coming with a contractor to fix something) that no inspections have been made. Even more frustrating is that no apology has been made, just ignored emails and calls. It is now being investigated by the internal complaints department prior to the Property Ombudsman. Through Abbotts negligence my property I expect will now have significant damage. Abbotts also asked if I wanted a boiler service through their contractor but I informed them I had already organised this myself. My plumber arrived only to be told that the boiler had been serviced as the tenants had assumed the contractor Abbotts had sent, was my plumber. Abbotts then tried to make me pay for this, despite it being their own error through overlooking my email and me still having to pay my plumber. I decided to get the property valued, sales team called only to get myself mixed up with the tenants and my name wrong. This wouldn't normally be a major issue but when you want to trust someone to sell something of such value and a professional service to enhance the sale of your property this isn't very re-assuring......my advice on both sales and lettings......go elsewhere.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

The worst agent I have ever dealt with, Twice!.. Lies, cover stories and pure rudeness. Their solicitors are useless too. I'd give a wide berth, Jamie is patronising and Alex is plain rude. My estate agent was disgusted with them. They lied to stop me viewing the house until I Contacted the seller and arranged it myself and made her aware. Luckily I did buy the house but only because myself and the seller were in contact and ran it ourselves. Long story short, abbotts did nothing for 5 months and then on the last day we were supposed to move, pushed me to go ahead with removals on the Friday when nobody had exchanged, knowing full well that it wouldn't happen. 4pm came, all our stuff had gone to the new house in the removals vans and we were sat waiting an hour away from our old house, for abbotts to ring and say its not happening today cos accounts had gone home. We then had a mad panic to find storage for our stuff for the weekend and had to go back to our old empty house with 2 kids and lots of animals and no belongings and spent 3 nights sleeping on the hard floor. It cost us £1000 in extra storage and another day of removals fees, I had to go and buy clothes for the weekend for me and the kids and a fish tank and hamster cage for some of our animals. The customer service of both Kerry and Gemma was well. But there is a house on 8 Teasel Close in Red Lodge that we rented & the landlord is awful. We moved out in December and they refused to give us any of our deposit back. We reached out continuously and after a month of no response, they started making bogus claims & changing prices of deductions. They even tried to deduct a cleaning fee when we already paid for an end of tenancy clean through Abbott’s company cleaners! We raised a dispute, which we won, and finally received our deposit back in April (4 months later). Abbotts in Fakenham was able to help us find the perfect first home, that was within our budget and in the exact location we wanted. As first-time buyers, we did not really know where to start, so they referred us to Emily at Countrywide, who was able to find and get us a mortgage. She was absolutely brilliant and didn’t hesitate to answer any questions we had/or if there was anything we was unsure about. Once we found some houses that we liked, we spoke with Shaye on the phone who was able to book us in for some viewings within the same week. The viewings went well and found Shaye to be friendly and helpful, She also made sure that the viewings were COVID-19 secure and asked that we sanitised our hands, wore a mask and ensured that we kept our distance at all times. We also had a second viewing with Mel (as we needed to go and measure up for furniture) and found her to be friendly and polite. After finding the perfect home for us, we put an offer in and luckily for us, the offer was accepted! So, we could begin the steps to buying our first home. Once the house sale had completed, we popped into the branch to collect our keys, then went back home to celebrate!
