GoogleRight from the start, Abbotts and in particular Ryan were brilliant, extremely helpful and patient, helping and explaining the process, making it easy. Nothing was too much trouble, and any questions, were quickly answered, quite often by phone, which I think makes it more personal and made me feel more valued. GoogleTried to view a property. I'm not sure what happened. Tennant cancelled our viewing. Was told another would be booked. But we heard nothing and property has been let. I get the feeling the Tennant was perhaps not being very accommodating but we could have at least been informed of what was going on. I'm hoping it was perhaps a mix up. GoogleCan't praise Abbotts enough. They were the Agent for the property I was buying. This was not an easy one with quite a large chain with a number of issues. GoogleWe purchased our home through Abbott's in December 2019. Whilst generally the service they provided to us as purchasers was fine, we were very unhappy that we were told they could propose our offer to the seller until they had carried out an "affordability check". This check turned out to be an appointment with a mortgage broker working for the chain where he took no information which would ascertain whether we could afford the property or not. The mortgage advisor was very pushy in regards for me to arrange a meeting with him to complete a mortgage application which would be been at around £500 cost to us, whilst I initially agreed I then withdrew this meeting after finding a better offer direct from a lender myself. Ultimately this just felt like a tactic to try and force us to use their in-house mortgage advisor. After this all things went smoothly enough, it's a shame that our experience was tainted by feeling as if we were being taken advantage off as Abbott's knew we were first time buyers. We would not use them again on this basis.NegativeProfessionalism

From explaining everything to us when we haven't been sure, to chasing paperwork when needed, and just calling to check we are getting on ok they have been absolutely brilliant. GoogleAt the beginning of our house purchase it was hard to make contact, or know who the correct member of staff to contact in relation to our case, each member would say we needed to speak to someone different (this was probably due to lockdown etc) However once Georgina took on a lead role in our case I couldn't fault her! She was always extremely responsive to our emails and helped chase the sellers solicitor to speed our process up. She was friendly, open and honest and good at explaining things. GoogleI started the year off in 2020 purchasing through another agent and sadly that fell through but what a breath of fresh air Abbott's were when I found a property with them to offer on. From start to finish they were very helpful and responsive to my queries and helped me complete in just 6 weeks! Nothing was too much trouble and the app was very good at keeping me up to date.
