Really upsetting. Signed a 12 month contract on a flat where the windows are broken. One even smashed me in the face. There’s poo and urine on the carpet of the flat I’ve let and the boiler didn’t work before I even moved into the property. The agency doesn’t care . ‘Sold as seen’ along with answers like ‘because I can get away with it’ The agency also use service repairers that work for Abbotts. So even if Abbotts are at fault they will still try and charge you for THEIR mistakes. Wish I’d never signed a contract with them. I’ve reported it all to the ombudsman

I saw Yvette Green - Mortgage Consultant at Abbots, she was absolutely fantastic at assisting me in the mortgage process and helping me understand things that not every Consultant would especially considering I have had a mortgage before she still drew my attention to every detail that perhaps I had not thought of, adding absolutely no pressure, full honesty and assistance. Selling my house with another agency. Today get a call from Abbotts, asking me "how it's going." I enquire if I'm with them, and they admit that they know that I am not. They give the name of the agency I am with. I then ask them not to call again. The salesman ignores this and is still talking as I end the call. Yuk.

I very much appreciated their willingness to assist with things a seller would usually do themselves but were difficult for us to do from another country. Shocking service, the manager (who has now left) looked my son and I in the eye and made all sorts of promises which were never kept, this was before Christmas, now the senior management company have in effect called us liars. Shocking, all they do is bleed you dry and take money off your rental income with any excuse under the sun. Do not deal with them.
