*update, they claim it’s tenant error not ventilating the property. Very strange when the whole house was drafts due to ill fitting windows also two couldn’t be closed. They refuse to accept responsibility even when an independent report insisted by the EHO condemned the property. 44 Mill Lodge Estate, LL59 5YB Do not use this company for anything. They let totally substandard properties out then try to blame the tenant and attempt to cover up their shortcomings. The house is riddled from black mould and damp in every room. Numerous complaints fell on deaf ears, resulting in two children being hospitalised with one placed in an induced coma in Alder hey . Caused by living in a substandard property. They hid the specialists reports that recommended “ It would be cheaper to knock the house down and rebuild it, there is nothing the tenant could of done to prevent any of the damp.” UPDATE… Customer services still refuse to accept that the house is condemned to the point EHO and Alder Hey wouldn’t allow the tenant to return to the above property due to the hazardous risks. They even expected the tenant to clean the hazardous black mould ..!!!!

I recently was shown a house by this estate agents Bethan who was lovely and then put an offer in and Joseph Williams was dealing with the negotiating. There were a few issues trying to get confirmation sorted of my mortgage etc and he was great at keeping me updated the whole way through and understand the anxiety as we had already lost one house. Despite repeated efforts to enquire about a property during an extremely stressful and difficult time due to being kicked out of our home at short notice, Beresford Adams assured me they would be in touch. I advised I was working away but left my partners contact details. Nobody contacted him and when we got in touch to enquire further the property was no longer available. Although I asked several times what had happened I was never given an explanation, just that they tried to call me, which they didn't. I advised them I'd called a total of nine times regarding the property as we were desperate to which I was met with a lack of empathy or concern for their error. Another estate agent that shows a lack of concern for people's wellbeing, as long as they can line their own pockets.

Awful. I have been in the rental market for a good while but haven't come across a letting agent quite as unprofessional as this company. I have been without hot water for nearly 7 weeks at the time of writing this and they don't seem to care at all. As well as this it was lucky I found a note from the previous tenant explaining where the water valves and fuses were etc because the letting agent didn't have a clue. Very, very disappointed.

When viewing a cottage the agent told…

When viewing a cottage the agent told us that the log burner was working! and that there was a parking space for one vehicle at the rear of the cottage. We went ahead and purchased the house. I went to pick up the keys from the Colwyn Bay office as agreed to be told the house was still occupied,and I’d have to go back the next day, I found the agent very abrupt and rather rude! When we finally got into the house the vendors had left a huge wardrobe in a bedroom, the log burner was in disrepair and obviously not been used for years! The car space at the rear of the house was only suitable for a very small vehicle. I contacted the office regarding the wardrobe the vendor had kindly left us with, the advisor wasn’t interest at all.. told me to take the matter up with a solicitor, although I hadn’t signed any agreements to have the wardrobe. I feel that Beresford Adams are only look after the vendors interests and needs,the customers service is extremely poor I won’t be recommending this estate agent and I wouldn’t view/sell a house through them again.
