**Avoid Beresford Adams like the plague.** Buying my house through Beresford Adams was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The standard of professionalism I encountered from start to finish was completely unacceptable. The estate agent handling my purchase, Jessie Roberts, was consistently rude, dismissive and unprofessional throughout the process. I repeatedly received information that I later discovered to be inaccurate, and I felt under constant pressure to question the advice of my own mortgage broker and solicitor in favour of using the firm's recommended professionals. That behaviour seriously undermined my confidence in the process. The situation became so bad that I refused to communicate by telephone and insisted that everything be put in writing by email so there was an evidence trail. I still will not choose to deal with Beresford Adams over the phone. I dealt with Jessie Roberts for seven months. For the final five months, I copied the head of the relevant government scheme into every email because I had lost confidence in the accuracy of the information I was being given. Interestingly, the tone of the communication changed once they became involved, although replies were often sent without copying them in. I simply forwarded those emails on. Since moving into my property, I have spoken to several other clients who described experiences that closely mirrored my own, with Jessie Roberts. This review reflects my personal experience with one member of staff, not necessarily the company as a whole. However, based on that experience, I would strongly recommend using a different estate agent. I also strongly recommend that Beresford Adams reviews this experience and the practice of staff as it is worrying to have this level of unprofessionalism at any level, let alone a customer-facing position. I have submitted a formal complaint regarding Jessie Roberts because I would not want anyone else to go through the experience I had.

We didn't have a clue as to selling my father in laws house so I popped in to the Chester branch and spoke to Kate who was very pleasant and helpful and she arranged a valuation with Kevin for a couple of days time. Kevin confirmed on the day that he would meet me at the property at the given time and rang around half an hour before to say he was on his way. When he arrived, he was very professional and very informative as to the different ways we could sell the property. We decided on the 'Modern Method of Selling' (i think that's what it's called) and from going on the market it had sold within 3 weeks. Kate and Louise at the branch kept us informed of viewings and feedback regularly and helped us with a lot of the legal paperwork which was a great help. We would highly recommend using Beresford Adams if you are selling a property.

Beresford Adams recently helped with the sale of our property. As an agency, they are reliable, informative, well priced and professional. Jessie Roberts and Finlay Clough were both particularly impressive. Viewings were booked promptly and handled well, feedback was received from every potential buyer and were chased consistently which I was impressed with. They were fab and maintaining a good relationship with our eventual buyer which at times was hard given the complexity of our sale. However Jessie and Fin were super and deserve every praise. Put my mothers house on the market with the Chester branch, had 7 viewings confirmed within 3 days before the “For Sale” even went up. In total there were 12 confirmed viewings within 5 days of going on the market with 3 offers all made within 3 days which we accepted one of them. We were kept informed of all viewings on a daily basis by email and messaging and even called by Kate Owen or one of her colleagues everyday on any news or progress being made. We have recently moved house and used Aimee O’Neill as our mortgage advisor. I cannot speak highly enough of Aimee - she not only got us a fantastic deal on our mortgage, but also negotiated the purchase price on our behalf. Aimee is very responsive and communicative, and always followed through on any actions. She kept us updated at every stage, even on a bank holiday, liaising with both the estate agents and solicitors. We had a nightmare by having to change our mortgage only a week before completion and Aimee worked extremely hard to get everything processed and approved in time.
