We had a difficult process as we were in a chain and it was not straight forward, however beresford Adams (specifically Laura Chester) went above and beyond to help us… she helped even more than the estate agents we were selling our home with. GoogleI can't praise Beresford Adams enough. All sales throw up challenges but I can honestly say that none of were with Beresford Adams as Estate Agent. With the multitude of external challenges you can face, such as a buyer dropping out or a surveyor not turning up, I always felt like the staff at Beresford Adams in Wrexham were always on my side; genuinely. With so much at stake and not always being able to be strong, the staff were great in going the extra mile and giving a fresh perspective and an action plan. At each stage, they were on top of things in terms of finding out where the blockages were and encouraging all parties to move through the required stages. My Dad, years ago, had good things to say about Beresford Adams in Wrexham and the current generation running the office can be proud that the good name still stands.

GoogleLovely team, respectful and responsive. But I still lament the fact that a house I had an offer accepted & nearly purchased was last minute flagged up as a grade 2 listed building near to completion by my solicitor… which had no CADW approval for the major renovations. Surprise and shock for someone none the wiser. The listed status should have been on the initial adverts from Beresford but it wasn't. It cost me nearly £700 for the survey alone plus solicitors fees to showcase the issue. Resulted in a very expensive + time wasting situation on my part, which was horrendous. Blame afterwards was placed by Beresford to the owner for not advising them ahead. Just my experience to share, as it could have been an even more expensive and a legal mess had my solicitor not caught it. Painful, expensive and should have been flagged up…

Google**Avoid Beresford Adams like the plague.** Buying my house through Beresford Adams was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The standard of professionalism I encountered from start to finish was completely unacceptable. The estate agent handling my purchase, Jessie Roberts, was consistently rude, dismissive and unprofessional throughout the process. I repeatedly received information that I later discovered to be inaccurate, and I felt under constant pressure to question the advice of my own mortgage broker and solicitor in favour of using the firm's recommended professionals. That behaviour seriously undermined my confidence in the process. The situation became so bad that I refused to communicate by telephone and insisted that everything be put in writing by email so there was an evidence trail. I still will not choose to deal with Beresford Adams over the phone. I dealt with Jessie Roberts for seven months. For the final five months, I copied the head of the relevant government scheme into every email because I had lost confidence in the accuracy of the information I was being given. Interestingly, the tone of the communication changed once they became involved, although replies were often sent without copying them in. I simply forwarded those emails on. Since moving into my property, I have spoken to several other clients who described experiences that closely mirrored my own, with Jessie Roberts. This review reflects my personal experience with one member of staff, not necessarily the company as a whole. However, based on that experience, I would strongly recommend using a different estate agent. I also strongly recommend that Beresford Adams reviews this experience and the practice of staff as it is worrying to have this level of unprofessionalism at any level, let alone a customer-facing position. I have submitted a formal complaint regarding Jessie Roberts because I would not want anyone else to go through the experience I had.

GooglePut my mothers house on the market with the Chester branch, had 7 viewings confirmed within 3 days before the “For Sale” even went up. In total there were 12 confirmed viewings within 5 days of going on the market with 3 offers all made within 3 days which we accepted one of them. We were kept informed of all viewings on a daily basis by email and messaging and even called by Kate Owen or one of her colleagues everyday on any news or progress being made. I chose Beresford Adams due to their history of selling in Chester and their reputation which did not fail me at all. I can not recommend them enough for their professionalism and expertise on everything from initial valuation to the viewings and final sale agreement and especially the constant communication between us.
