Recently sold our property in Lower Earley Reading. Deal mainly with Jacob Flanagan who is the manager at that branch. Couldn't fault him or his team. Josh, Izzy. All very friendly and helpful. He suggested an open house for a day which I was a little sceptical about but it worked! And we received above our asking price. I recently moved into a property in Bristol city centre and have found the experience incredibly disappointing and unprofessional for the following reasons, and would recommend anyone considering renting a property through Romans to avoid it. 1. On moving into the property, we quickly noticed the lock on the back door of the property was broken with a missing door handle, so the door constantly sits ajar, and therefore we have been unable to secure the property. We consider this issue to be extremely urgent as our property is a ground floor flat, and in a high footfall area of Bristol, which makes it unsafe and a target. After reporting the issue to Romans, we became aware that they had known about this issue for over 6 months, and had still chosen to go ahead and rent the property out being fully aware of the broken door, and the property being unsecurable. When we requested a repair we were told that we needed to take the issue up with the maintenance team of the building as it was nothing to do with Romans as the maintenance team are liable for the repair - despite the fact we rent the property through Romans. The building maintenance team have since told us it won't be fixed for a minimum of 3 months. We have found this situation very distressing since my housemate, is a female who is often alone in the property for prolonged periods of time. Unfortunately, it appears Romans wants to take no responsibility for the fact they let a property which wasn't securable and that we need to follow this issue up with the building management company instead. 2. The property was advised as furnished and on viewing the property it was confirmed that items such as the kitchen table, cabinets and curtains would remain. However, when we moved into the property key furniture such as the kitchen table, curtains, and chest of drawers had all been removed. We have since been told they had mistakenly advertised the property as furnished and it should have been shown as part-furnished. Unfortunately, due to this false advertising we are now without key furniture in the property which we were led to believe would be present. As two young professionals, who have very busy work lives, I would strongly recommend anyone to avoid renting through Romans as their willingness to resolve immediate safety issues and honesty appears to be non-existent.

Hello, I've recently been given a notice of vacating my current location as my landlord sold his house. Within about a week I found a new house (house share) in Woodley. I arranged a viewing on the same day through Ben Cottrell from Romans, paid the holding deposit the next day and now moving in at the end of the month.
