Big thanks thanks to Richard Wagstaff for selling our house and finding us our dream home (an over used cliche, I know...but so true in our case) and probably our final move house. Thanks to Richards network and viewing several homes not officially on the market, we found ‘the one’ after many months of searching...and with River frontage, something I thought we could never achieve or afford. The whole selling and buying process was smooth and supplied us with up-to-date information. Can’t fault the service. Out of all Estate Agents we contacted, Richard was the hardest working and I felt he was really on our side. As a sales director I know Estate Agent BS when I see it, and it was his straightforward approach that got him our business. Thanks again Richard and the rest of the team, Sean et al. P. S. I hope those Miami Dolphins deliver you that Super Bowl win soon Richard!

I registered for quite a lengthy period with several agents in the area but, by far, Romans offered me the very best and most attentive service. Mr. Sean Eastman made my buying experience very easy because of his experience and extensive local knowledge, as well as his very honest and straight forward approach. In addition to that I felt I was not put under any pressure to commit. The after-sale service and contact was also excellent and more than helpful. In the future, should I ever wish to sell my property, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recruiting the services of Romans.

We used Right Move (website) to search for a property to rent in Henley on Thames and found a couple we wished to view marketed by Romans in Henley. We were put in contact with Alison Letts and we could not have found ourselves in better hands. Alison is the consummate professional, very friendly, and incredibly helpful and efficient and made the process of renting one of the properties we viewed and really liked an extremely smooth process, completed in a week despite there being a Bank Holiday Monday and her being on leave one day during the week. We cannot recommend Alison or Romans highly enough, and will be using them to search for a property to buy in the near future. 5* recommendation - Thank you Alison and Romans.

After enjoying a nearly 9 year tenancy in the town we were informed (unfortunately) that the property was to be sold - and we had to move! Alison Letts the lettings manager at Romans sent a really understanding E-Mail to us and asked my wife and I to pop in for a chat. We did (still in shock!) and Alison at once eased our troubled brows with her calm and professional manner and covered the many aspects of the 'eviction' process. She even told us that we would each receive one of the formal letters - but not to worry this was standard procedure. She couldn't have been more helpful and asked us to speak to her directly if we had any problems with the laid down criteria. And, she gave us a steer on current availability of quality lettings in the town. We left the Romans office feeling a lot better than we did when we walked in! As it turned out the property that met our requirements wasn't with Romans - who by the way I rate very highly. The property was with an out of town estate agent which literally landed on my lap-top one Saturday afternoon. We were the first and last to view it! I digress slightly. My handover of the old property was at an awkward time due to my work at Gillotts School during the GCSE Exams. I contacted Alison and asked her if the time could be slipped by 2 hours. A few days later Romans contacted me and confirmed my handover date was now 1200hrs instead of 1000hrs. Great news! I must thank Alison Letts for her continued support during what has been a fairly difficult time (due to family illness during same period). She has been in touch ensuring we have ticked all the boxes and made it clear we were to pop in to see her if things started to go awry. Even though we didn't (this time) find what we wanted from Romans - Alison never waivered from being our friend with the helping hand. Alison's professional and personable demeanour is a credit to Romans and we wish her all the best for the future. We will always pop in and say Hi when we're passing by - without wasting the empire's time - of course!

Absolutely delighted with my experience of the Romans team in Henley, Richard Wagstaff and Neil Burton went above and beyond in assisting my sale including helping move furniture prior to viewings. Their outstanding activity generated multiple offers which were skilfully managed and I am delighted with my end result. Since this time Richard in particular has been incredibly helpful in advising me on my future property investments and always takes time to talk me through my decision making process. Having dealt with many agents I can honestly say that Richard and his team are the most helpful and friendly estate agents in the area, Richard has many years’ experience and I am so grateful that he is happy to share his knowledge & perspective with me, I cannot recommend the team highly enough & will be back to Romans when I sell my next property.

I can easily say that Richard Wagstaff went above and beyond the call of duty in the selling of my property. Through no fault of his own, the sale was a long and arduous process. He was always on hand to give assistance in arranging additional work at the house, which would normally fall under the remit of a lettings agent. I was immediately impressed by the warm welcome and offer of a drink as soon as I walked into Romans of Henley,By two very smart young men,Alistair and Tom.I had been round all the agents in Henley over the last 2 days,trying to find my ideal property and had no luck as the other agents didn't match my requirements.However within 5 minutes of being in your office the perfect home for me had come to light and I was driven to view it immediately.What star service and all with such enthusiasm and first class professionalism.Alistair and Tom were very well informed about the property and as soon as I walked inside I knew it was the one for me.Within the hour,Alistair had spoken to the owner and the deal was done.I wanted to move in very quickly and Alistair arranged that all with such speed and efficiency.I was impressed with the team work between Alistair and Emma at Lettings and the follow ups he did for me to push the paperwork through super fast.I would highly recommend(and have done so) Romans of Henley to anybody wanting great personal service and also that they listen to what you want and match your needs exactly.They went far beyond the normal job description and nothing was too much trouble for them. We were seeking to rent a property in Henley at the beginning of February after returning from 6months abroad.On our return we registered with every estate agent in Henley hoping to spread our net widely. We were difficult clients having fairly specific criteria.Right from the outset Romans were on the ball and regularly emailed properties they thought met our requirements.Alistair was very helpful and really put us in the picture about what we could get for our money.At all times he was perceptive and good humoured when we rejected something he had carefully chosen for us.In the end he found us the perfect property.Our entry to the house was not entirely smooth , not because of Romans but associated with other factors ,at this time he was amazingly good and responded to problems and worries very promptly. I have dealt with Neil Burton on numerous occasions although not since his time with Romans. I used him to sell three houses previously, out of the 5 agents in the town I found Neil was straight talking, honest and always delivered. Initially I had a house on with another agent who kept telling me the price was too much even though they were the ones that put the valuation on it! I met with Neil, he gave me some hard hitting advice, took the house on the market and sold it 2 weeks later, may I add at the same price I was being told was too much. If you want an agent that knows what he is doing instead of pretending to be an estate agent I suggest you ask for Neil Burton.

Really grateful to the whole team at the branch - especially Richard, Neil & Jack - who could not have been more helpful throughout our house buying process. They are very knowledgeable of the local area & of all the houses they are selling - never has a question of ours been left unanswered, the team have even taken the time to seek answers from the council if required. Richard Wagstaff was superb throughout our purchase in Wargrave. Always easy to get hold of, kept control of the process and chain and was in contact whenever needed. He wasn't pushy but on the other side did his level best to get timelines on track. I would 100% recommend Romans and especially Richard.
