The whole procedure of renting this house is pleasant, from arranging a view to get the key. Our reference procedure occurred a little complicated situation but the letting manager always reply quickly and gave many support, help us to solve the problem. With the (inexperienced) vendors living in Japan and using me as their intermediary there were inevitable difficulties which Curchods handled very professionally and with much courtesy leading to an excellent outcome. Their judgement and advice was consistently sound. A very good all round performance.

With the vendors living in Japan and using me as an intermediary this really could not have gone more smoothly. The inevitable tensions created by distance, time zones and (in the case of the vendor) a lack of experience were diplomatically yet firmly handled and an excellent result was achieved by Curchods of East Horsley.

Curchods were brilliant from start to finish. Rupert was extremely responsive from the outset and very flexible. the marketing material for our property looked superb and they delivered on their promise getting it sold. Once a sale was agreed Jenny was also superb, really helping the process along and getting it across the line at the end during a slightly protracted exchange process.

Our experience of most other estate agents in the local area could be described as painful, at best. James and the team at Curchods are a breath of fresh air. Clear and friendly communication with honest advice when needed was hugely appreciated and they made moving a delight. Feeling treated like a real person and not just a walking £ sign made such a difference. James even took the time to see how our move went, which may seem like a small thing, but demonstrated to us that he was also looking after our interests. I am certain we will turn to Curchods again for our next move and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy and decent letting agent in the area.

After a rather unsatisfactory start the relationship improved resulting in the sale of the property at a price close to what we had ultimately agreed. On reflection the initial anticipated price was too optimistic. This had also been quoted by others so we feel that Curchods cannot really be criticised for that. Altogether a good experience. From the initial viewing to the follow up after moving in, I found B&W (and Daniel in particular) to be professional, courteous and above all exceptionally helpful in gaining my tenancy. Their fees were clear and had no hidden extras and (while not the absolute cheapest) were much lower than many of the other letting agents. They also understood that the best tenant wasn't necessary the one willing to pay most and actually resisted a 'bidding war' between applicants - making a clear recommendation to the landlord based on all the evidence (availability, income & employment, previous references etc). They kept me updated throughout the process and ensured I was happy and informed. The check in was slightly later in the day than I would have liked but this was due to availability of the external inventory clerk. Overall I was very happy with their approach and execution which felt to be a lot more professional and reasonable than the usual conveyor belt of the letting process.
