If I could give CJ Hole 10 stars I would. From George and the sales team in Westbury-On-Trym who made selling our home so straightforward to Lorraine in Henleaze who managed to progress the chain when everything that could go wrong did go wrong. I dont think our chain would have completed at all without her! In an industry where standards of customer care dont seem to be very high CJ Hole are a shining example of how to look after your customers during an incredibly stressful time. I cannot recommend them enough and my family and I are so grateful for all the help and support CJ Hole have given us!

Ian Salter, the Sales Manager who conducted my property’s market appraisal after I viewed a property with him listed by CJ Hole, was most helpful and friendly and gave excellent advice. I was about to take my property (listed with a different agent) off the market and switch to CJ Hole on the basis of this advice when I received an offer I was able to accept - so in the end the switch was not necessary. However, if anything goes awry with the sale, requiring me to re market my property (fingers crossed this will not happen!) I would not hesitate to go with CJ Hole in future. The advice I received from Ian was, I believe, instrumental in helping me to achieve a sale (albeit before any switch occurred); hence, based on this, I would trust that he and CJ Hole would provide me with excellent service should I request this at any time. Recently rented a property from CJ Hole in the new build area of Highbridge. Requested a viewing at 3am on the Sunday morning *nightshift worker. And was greeted with an email at 9:02am on the Monday morning by the delightful Maddie, who was able to accommodate a viewing around my night shift pattern. She has been nothing but courteous and professional throughout our encounters, even replying to emails and queries outside of her working hours again to accommodate me and my shift. Absolutely awful estate agents. Trying to take £800 out of our deposit as well as our neighbours in the same building for the same reasons: - £200 cleaning fee when it was not “professionally cleaned” when moved in, to name a few things; maggots and larvae found in vacuum cleaner, dirty floors and walls, mould and mildew all over bathroom, and unclean mattresses and many more. Despite all this we cleaned it upon moving out and left it in a far better standard yet still being charged? Very unfair! - £500 for heavily stained mattresses and missing fridge drawers, but there were missing drawers in the first place! Initially there were missing mattress protectors which we complained about and CJ did replace them but now they’re trying to charge us for dirty mattresses? Why would we damage mattresses if we asked for mattress protectors and used them at all times? - £50 for taking rubbish out, yet bin rooms hardly get taken out and their own contractors use the bin rooms to dispose large items such as old ovens which fill up the bins. - £50 for decoration when there were already marks on the wall and the paint was peeling off in the bathroom when we moved in. We have evidence against all these false claims and will not tolerate unfair deductions. Further action will be taken from our flat as well as other flats in the same building. Please avoid CJ Hole if looking to rent, they will try everything to retain deposits and not follow through on the reasons for the deductions just so the next tenants deposits will be deducted for the same reasons as before.

Another of Bristol’s dishonest and greedy lettings agents profiting from lies. Currently attempting to charge us in excess of £300 for mattress protectors that were never provided, rubbish removal despite the bins having not been collected for over two weeks prior, ‘decoration’ although the walls were filthy when we moved in and were painted just days before we moved out (ie a far better state than move in) and a cleaning fee despite the flat being left spotless. Neighbouring tenants in this apartment complex have had exactly the same charges, suggesting CJ hole hasn’t taken the time to actually inspect the flats and just blindly charges tenants in this manner. No doubt they did the same to the tenants before us, although clearly no decorating or cleaning had been carried out before we moved in. Thoroughly disappointed but what can you expect.
