The worst experience ever

Try to avoid this agency. Terrible communication or no communication once contract is signed. We rented student accommodation in Bristol. When I drop off my daughter I was shocked to see how disgusting the place was. Before renting out agent reassured it would be deep cleaned. But the place was not cleaned at all. There were dead flies in hall, corridor. The kitchen was in disgusting condition, everything was sticky, fridge was extremly dirty. Bathroom with mold, shower was disgusting. My daughter loathed to shower and store her food in a fridge. Place is tottaly antisanitar. All six students along with some guarantees emailed with concerns. But no one reacted. We called but no one answered our calls. However they were proactive when they tried to let by. Terrible branch, management are not interested at all in their reputation. We are not asking to go extra mile, we just asked for accommodation to be clean. It's a bare minimun and goes without saying.

AWFUL- AVOID

Absolutely terrible experience. Viewed a rental property and put an offer in for it to be accepted. To then wait and start referencing and checks to be told everything was successful and be sent all of the moving in documents, to then be told my referencing had failed. However the third party who do these checks had said it hadn't failed their end and CJ Hole were in control of this. Going backwards and forwards with CJ Hole changing their story's and trying to then hold my deposit after a week of horrendous stress and communication. Would NOT recommend!!!!!!

Really poor communication

Really poor communication. Viewed a property for rent, submitted an application and despite sending a follow up email two days after submitting the application, I heard nothing back. After calling I was finally informed they had progressed with another application. On this same phone call, CJ Hole said they would send over a few other properties that may be of interest to me - unsurprisingly I never received this email. Really poor service, I would not consider renting or buying a property from them in the future.

Joke of a company, don't rent with them

I don't even know how this company has managed to receive anything more than one star. They are absolutely useless, I have no idea what their staff do all day because it certainly isn't helping their customers. They have time and time again failed to fix things properly and reply to my emails. The flat I have rented in Bristol is quite frankly disgusting and they couldn't care less. If you are looking to rent I would avoid at all costs and find a more respectable company. I haven't heard a good word about this company so I have no idea where any positive reviews are coming from.

Alex kindly showed us around two properties last week. During the first visit the tenant at the property was unaware of the visit. Alex was then able to calmly and professionally manage the situation, explaining to the tenant that the viewing had been agreed with another tenant at the property. Alex was prompt and ready to answer all relevant questions about each property we visited, we would be happy for him to show us around any more in the future.

Poor property management

I have been living in a property managed by CJ Hole for 5 years. The property itself is great (and we think the landlord is sound although we have never met them). However, CJ Hole have been consistently horrible at communicating and solving maintenance requests. All projects are done cheaply and have led to more maintenance needing done. They demand things of us rather than collaborating with us, particularly on property inspections and contract renewals. It feels as if they don't consider this our living environment, but rather just a means to profit. Capitalism shocker.

They were okay until I couldn't get hold of them on the day I was supposed to collect my keys so had to make alternative arrangements to find somewhere to stay that night. I then went to this office the next day to collect my keys and it turned out they had lost the front door key. They got a locksmith to gain entry but the real cherry on top of the whole experience of dealing with CJ Hole was them then refusing to pay for the lock to be replaced.... 10/10 would NOT recommend.

The worst letting company I have ever rented from!!

Currently renting a property from them and they completely miss led us and lied to us about the state of the house. They said the house will be cleaned but there is dirt absolutely everywhere. The house is an end terrace with some land for sale and they said that nobody has brought the land but then today we saw construction workers going in and looked on line and the land was sold two years ago. There is an unsafe bathroom light in the bathroom which is essentially just a light bulb and un covered. Mould in the house which was covered up in the viewing. The viewing was extremely rushed and so was the referencing if I knew the house we are currently in was not going to be cleaned as promised and the basic fixtures would be met then I would have never moved in. I feel completely ripped off from CJ Hole.

C J Hole at Bishopsworth have been amazing and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I would never use anyone else. I need to give Ben a special mention, he has been a star from the moment he came to value right through to completion. He had to deal with the tears at selling the property after 70 years of being there so we could pay for my mums care home costs, to two failed sales, and finally through to completion on sale three. He’s listened to us, understood the trauma we were going through, supported and guided us, always remaining calm and reassuring. The whole team have been great when I felt I was struggling under pressure they always were understanding, supportive and very helpful. Excellent communication and customer service. Cannot speak highly enough of them throughout our whole experience. If you need an estate agent use C J Hole at Bishopsworth. Thank you Ben, Matt and team.
