Worst estate agent in the area. You could potentially get a more positive response if the property you are selling is expensive, you may then see more of their top selling charm. However, I rang CJ Hole alongside two other estate agents for my elderly parents who are selling their retirement flat. The person who came to value the property from CJ Hole kept putting the time of the appointment back last minute. When he turned up he didn’t apologise for the delay, didn’t seem interested (bordering on rude to my parents, unfortunately I couldn’t make that valuation) and was gone within minutes. He still hasn’t got back in contact with my parents with a value or the cost of their services, they haven’t heard anything. My Mum is still recovering from injury and doesn’t really want people in the house so to have someone rude felt uncomfortable for them. I’ve tried contacting CJ Hole since but there is never an answer.

I needed to sell my parent's home in Brockworth but I live in Wales so I needed to rely heavily on the estate agent. CJ Hole performed well in all areas and conducted all of the viewings. The house was under offer within days of going live and the sale proceeded smoothly and rapidly given the circumstances. I would highly recommend them on the basis of my experience with them

Probably one of the worst estate agents I’ve encountered. I unfortunately had to buy my house through CJ Hole. Their communication is poor, often taking days to reply to an email. Most calls go through to a call centre and no one will call you back or even acknowledge that you’ve called. Which makes things very difficult on the day of completion and you need to collect the keys! It seemed difficult conversations were avoided and kept via email. I found the staff generally very rude and inexperienced. One member of staff told me I was ‘being silly’ for not selling my house through them and was very pushy. Another asked me whether I write my emails via Chat GPT because they were ‘weirdly worded’. I found they lacked any skill in building relationships between me and the seller, actually the complete opposite. I ended up speaking with the seller directly to get issues resolved as CJ Hole were creating issues between us. CJ Hole relisted the property I was buying without telling me first (I received the news via email and no one had the decency to ring me to discuss this). This was reactive to a survey I had done and I had requested a reduction in price. The seller told me that CJ Hole had suggested him to do this however CJ Hole deny this. I had friends call up and enquire about the property, they were telling them that the buyers of the property I was selling had pulled out and that is why it was relisted, which was a lie. They also failed to mention the issues from the survey. The amount of stress they caused me was unbelievable. I nearly lost the buyers to my property because of the delay they caused and I was looking expensive rentals because I didn’t want to lose my buyers. And the worry of losing the money I’ve put into solicitors fees etc. I did raise concerns with a manager who did apologise for staff comments but that doesn’t undo the experience. I would not give any money or time to this company. They will lie to you and cause you unnecessary stress. They are unprofessional and inexperienced which shows in all their interactions. Not surprisingly most people I have met along the way also don’t have a good word to say about CJ Hole. Avoid this company!!

First Class Service Throughout My daughter rented through Cheltenham CJ Hole and they were consistently professional, friendly and efficient from start to finish. From viewing properties, to moving in, maintenance tasks during the rental and moving out, all stress free and a pleasure to deal with. The added ask was that my daughter has special needs and was nervous of strangers, CJ were alway empathetic and fully understood the need for clear communication and trusting understanding individuals, it was always handled so well. CJ Hole have been wonderful. I’d recommend them if you are looking to buy and sell a property. Their sales team were really helpful with lots of feedback from viewings on our property. They were also very fair when we were looking at properties to buy. Once we’d moved onto the next stage (Sold STC) their in house sales progressor, Lorraine, was worth her weight in gold. Really poor service. spent more time chasing them, with promises of call backs etc. but nothing ever coming through. They then don’t update you on any updates on your application. Customer service is non existent and would avoid unless you like wasting your time.

To date I have rarely left reviews however I feel that C J Hole deserve much appreciation and praise for the outstanding work they have consistently carried out for me over the last four years. From the purchase of my property to the team involved with contracts, accounts and letting, everything is superbly coordinated and managed. In regard to the letting of my property in Bristol, Rafal Lunitz has been exceptionally professional and gone above and beyond in saving me from having to worry about any month to month issues that may occur.
