We’ve just bought a house through Nick Humphryes in Crookes and would thoroughly recommend them. We’d been around the various agents in Sheffield a few times and none offered the quality, friendly service that Nicholas gave us. It’s hard to come by in an estate agent on a good day, but even more so in the current property market! They are very helpful and professional. Ollie Simango, lettings person at Nicholas Humpreys helped me find a tenant . From the word go he communicated well with me, came to take the photos of the flat and kept me updated in terms of progress. They found me a tenant sooner than I thought and I wished I had got in touch with them earlier. I spoke to the owner of estate agent once and he also was very pleasant and polite to me. I will definitely use them in future. Ollie was professional, professionally dressed when he came to meet me and tool his time to explain everything. The worst ever experience from a student estate agent. DO NOT USE. The following reasons: Tried to scam us out of our deposit - if you're a tough cookie you can bully them back to get some. Viewing times are given as such - this afternoon 9-5. Not 24 hours before, not specific time. Asked us to break lockdown which is illegal to return keys during covid era. No flexibility on Covid. Tried to charge extra rent when unable to return keys due to covid - absolute scum.

Rented a student house with friends, my room wasn't finished when I first moved in with decorating stuff everywhere (no compensation received). When chasing deposit during COVID, I was overpaid and had to send the money back. My fellow tenants have had delay after delay in getting their deposits back, despite repeated phone calls from myself with assurances that the deposits had been sent back and would be with us shortly still no end. Strikes me as really unprofessional and in-efficient. Based on my experience really wouldn't recommend.

If you are a student, steer clear of Nicholas Humphreys. My friends rented a property off them only for the house to be unfinished, and the move in date delayed. They were still charged full rent for the time when the property wasn't available. They are now using their deposits to redecorate the house, despite admitting they already had plans to redecorate regardless.
