They are very helpful and professional. Ollie Simango, lettings person at Nicholas Humpreys helped me find a tenant . From the word go he communicated well with me, came to take the photos of the flat and kept me updated in terms of progress. They found me a tenant sooner than I thought and I wished I had got in touch with them earlier. I spoke to the owner of estate agent once and he also was very pleasant and polite to me. I will definitely use them in future. Ollie was professional, professionally dressed when he came to meet me and tool his time to explain everything. Their service was tenant finding and they send files, funds once all was done in a timely manner . Thank you so much guys

Seriously Advising you to not go with this estate agency. We lived on 21 Wilton avenue, and a few of us didn’t receive the correct deposit amount back. Despite repeated attempts to contact the office a few months ago, they ignored all emails and phone calls. My second year of Uni, I used a different estate agency and they were superb when it came to communication and honesty. We were never allowed to contact the landlord (contrary to my previous estate agency), and there was serious issues with the house! I’m talking mould, break ins, deterioration etc. When we contacted Nicholas Humphries, they would give us a pathetic response each time of, we can’t reach the landlord either. If they can’t reach the landlord, then what exactly are they doing in the office! Please take my advice, otherwise you’ll regret it. Find a good, reputable estate agent, you’ll be so happy you did in the long run.

I am a potential new franchisee coming into the Nicholas Humphreys Franchise and I spend a day in the Southampton branch with Bhav and Adrian. Both were very supportive and helped me out a lot. I went and views some properties, took pictures and both were very happy to answer any questions I had. The branch was run at a very high standard and the relationship that Bhav and Adrian had with both landlords and tenants was amazing. It was very clear that the main priority of this branch was customer satisfaction. A brilliantly run estate agents that values there customers. I would recommend that all local students uses these guys.

Not great at all! Lack of communication! Only get active communication when they need something from you. Been calling for weeks/months to resolve issues but gets thrown around in circles most of the time. They have also switched to remote and have no physical office within Southampton. Any calls are essentially forwarded to a different reception that would be clueless to your situation each time. They would tell you that all they can do is forward your message with high priority to the relevant recipient but I've been waiting over 2.5 weeks and called multiple times, to no avail. Bad at vetting out tenants, lived with tenant they put through who was rude and did not pay bills. Also took everyone's deposit. Agency offered no help to resolve the issue throughout the tenancy. This terrible tenant also claims to know the agency well and use it as a threat. Recently also found out he left 5 star reviews of the place which feels like everything is intentional which is deeply hurtful. Similar to most reviews, I'd rate it lower if I could. There are lots more I can share but for sake of time, I'll leave it as is. Would not recommend and avoid at all costs! Out of the agencies I've been through in the last 3 years in Southampton, the only I would recommend is StudentNoFees but their average rent and bills price are a little higher.

We are a group of 5 students who have secured a property through Humphreys. The whole process from viewings to signing the contracts has been absolutely fantastic. Adrian has been very proactive in making sure all our enquires and question's have been answered. The best part is they are the ONLY AGENTS IN SOUTHAMPTON THAT TRULLY DO NOT CHARGE ANY FEES. We will be using Humphreys again and would recommend them to anyone that's looking for a honest advice and a honest company that will not rip students off.

I’ve found that Bhav and his team were very efficient with finding me a house to rent especially being a student and having specific requirements. I found difficulties with my first house that I rented through them in regards to the landlord and Bhav quickly found a new house for me and made it very easy for me surrounding this. They are all very friendly and willing to help when they can. I would highly recommend them for student lettings and normal lettings.

We lived in a property managed by Nicholas Humphrey’s this past year in Southampton, and suffice to say it was a less than satisfactory experience. The only thing consistent about this agency is their consistent lack of communication and disregard for any request you send them regarding the state of the property. On the subject of the state of the property, our arrival into said property did not meet the standards set by the agency themselves in our own tenancy agreement. There were no spare keys for the bedroom doors on our property - a fact only made known to us when somehow one of the doors on our property locked itself and we had to pay out of our own pocket for a locksmith. Perhaps due to the fact that we were mere students renting the property, but the decided lack of care from the agency and feeling of inconvenience we felt at the simplest requests was a running theme throughout the year. It was an unnecessary added stress to our final year at university, and the only time we were shown a modicum of care and attention was, of course, when we were viewing the property and preparing to sign contracts. Overall, it was an awful experience and I would not recommend anyone rent from this frankly lazy and incompetent agency. I would give no stars if I could.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. ZERO service, ZERO communication. If you are a Student/Landlord avoid at all costs. If anyone from this company actually reads these can someone contact me. My daughter has been left living in a building site! No water for days, shower leaking, no bedroom to be used, no communication despite several calls and emails. I do not understand how anyone can run a business in this way. If I could give zero stars I would. If you are looking for somewhere to rent AVOID!!!

SCAMMERS!!! I would not even rate them 1 star. DO NOT RENT WITH THESE PEOPLE! They have absolutely ripped us off. First, they left us with no hot water or heating in the winter for over 2 weeks. Legally you are entitled to a 25/50% reduction on your rent when you have no hot water or heating longer than 2 days. They did not give us a discount and completely dismissed our needs. Secondly when we move out we left the house exactly how it was and they are refusing to give us our deposit back due to uncleanliness and broken things, WHICH WERE WHEN WE MOVE IN. Th have even gone so far to say the light switches were filthy which is a complete joke. They have also used old photos for the inventory, the first one there are completely different light shades, desks and chairs which we obviously would not replace. They are also not getting back to us because they are SCAMMERS!!!!

All good reviews here are fake and written themselves. I Rented for a year and found that If you want any maintenance issues dealt with or any help getting your deposit back after tenancy, they will simply deflect the blame and make no effort to help you. They always make up and excuse to call you back later.. AND NEVER DO. They also work with landlords who are prepared to lie about damages and charge you for things you haven’t done. My guess is they work together with the landlords to mug you off at any opportunity.

I would honestly give zero starts if I could. Renting a place with this agency is an absolute joke!! Communicating with them is honestly impossible, you’re on the phone with them getting told that things would get done straight away and then you find yourself waiting for another week or two to receive something as simple as a report!! Not to mention the fact that I’ve moved out exactly one month ago and still don’t even know anything about my deposit!! All they keep telling you is that they’ve got nothing else to do with it and it’s over to the landlord, when in fact they’re the ones holding everything up. If I knew, I would’ve NEVER rented a flat with them so please stay away!! P.S: There’s no need to lie and say you’ve got nothing to do with the deposit as I’ve contacted the landlord directly and been informed that they’ve contacted you on the 25th of November and you’ve told them you’d be contacting me as soon as possible with the amount that’s getting deducted from the deposit. You are the ones who are supposed to deal with that and you know it, the landlord keeps the deposit but you are the ones who agree with me on the amount that’s getting deducted before the landlord releases the deposit!

I lived in 3 different student accommodation and dealt with 3 different agencies and I must say this one was the worst , the communication was horrendous nothing was being done or even communicated to me as to when it will be or what is happening , I had to chase up my refund for about 3 months and only received it the day after they said it would arrive , I whole heartedly do not recommend unless you enjoy chasing up the same thing 15 times And I never leave reviews so this has taking a lot for me to write this review

Worst agents I have ever dealt with, promise you the moon so you sign with them but then it’s all downhill from there. If you ever have any maintenance issues and are with them; Goodluck on trying to get hold of anyone and I suggest you don’t expect them to turn up and fix anything or if your lucky and they do show up they are guaranteed to cause more issues and damage which brings us back to the same cycle. Always there to let you down * in regards to the response As shown again there is no responsibility taken by the agents, their poor communication means they are even unaware the new machine is still "broke" with their maintenance person informing us nothing was broke and it was down to the pressure being to high which needed to be resolved, hence why as he fitted the new machine the same issue occurred. In terms of coins and paperclips I have attached a picture of what supposedly broke the drum (even though this was never the issue) in which was clearly not cleaned prior to tenancy along with the rest of the house. In terms of dates the machine broke on may 1st with back and forth attempting to fix it up until the 13th where the maintenance man said he was informing the agent it needed a new part or whole machine. May 16th- agents in contact informing they were reaching out to the landlord to approve a new machine. June 9th- informed machine has been ordered and will be fitted Friday the 10th. Surprisingly they turned up however same issue occurred.
