GoogleI'd advise people, students especially, to avoid this company. I went to a viewing with my current housemates at which the estate agent told us that we wouldn't be allowed to see the contract until after giving them a £400 deposit. They claimed that this was "standard practice" because, they didn't want to draw up a contract for us not to sign. The reality is that this is not the case at all. All estate agents and most landlords will have a standard form contract that they will make minor adjustments to if necessary. The landlord I'm with currently was more than happy for us to take our time to read the contract before signing or providing a deposit. The same agent also attempted to pressure us into signing by saying that there were very few properties available on the market. A quick search online and chats to other student renters showed that this wasn't true at all and that, it was more than possible to find a property as late as January. Overall, very unprofessional and clearly set on taking advantage of ill-informed students.

GoogleFantastic experience with Nicholas Humphreys acting for the sale of our property. Robbie, in particular, was brilliant throughout the whole process, and we received continuous updates and support at every stage. Our property was only marketed for a short period with multiple viewings, and a sale was agreed immediately after. Thank you for making the journey to completion as stress free and smooth as we could have wished for! Couldn’t recommend these guys enough.

GoogleIf you are a student (or anyone else for that matter) AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Boiler had to be fixed every other week resulting in countless days without heating, and no compassion from Nicholas humphreys. Tried scamming us out of deposit money for problems that were not present when our tenancy ended. Shameless.

Throughout our journey of purchasing a house from their vendor, their friendly and communicative approach made the process much clearer and easier to navigate. Due to the nature of the property, the sale was a slightly complicated one, but Nicholas was an absolute pleasure to work with - definitely the most approachable of any estate agents we’ve worked with. GoogleFound a listing on a student property website. I was less than a few weeks from travelling to Sheffield so needed a place asap. A few hiccups at the start but Nicholas and Sue sorted everything out and secured me a room in a matter of days! After reading tons of reviews by students of how their agents wouldn't bother about their emails and calls when their accommodation was breaking down, I'm glad to have found Nicholas Humphreys. House is still pristine in the moment but if things ever break down in the future , I'm confident they'll get it sorted out swiftly. Tldr; Professional, timely and friendly folks! Would definitely recommend their service.
