Great experience from start to finish with a very effective and on the pulse agent Gavin B who kept the lines of communications open during the whole process. Hunters agent had a few properties that matched my wishlist as far as location, newly designed and renovated spaces, finances and more. Once I found the right fit and produced all the documents for the credit and reference checks, the turnaround was quite fast. Not usually given to post on Ratings, in this case I'm making an exception lengthily, to applaud one particular first-class property Lettings service I experienced continually over the last 11 years. The Yeadon Branch of Hunters, led by David and his team, kept my property tenanted and managed for all that time, and finally led successfully on its sale. Over 44 years ago I had to start Letting property AND to have Full Agents to do so, rather unwillingly, but constrained by my circumstances. In all that time and over many parts of UK, I have tenanted out domestic property and have had to use local Agents for on-going full management. All too many such Agents turn(ed) out to be more continual trouble and more stress-inducing than most tenants ever were - but never Hunters in Yeadon. Despite their first assurances, some bigger Agencies often proved far from local, and actually turned out to be 'national' in the sense of having their support elements outsourced and operating from different places in UK. This often left me with no idea of who was responsible for what - often getting replies saying "... but that's not our job here" or "...I wasn't actually employed here then..." or "... after our recent business re-organisation, our IT systems change-over hasn't completed yet..." - and how 'excited' they were to announce a new Landlord portal or a new Central Control for some aspect, but proving as short-lived and inefficient as some of the operatives in their local Branch. Of course there were sometimes exceptions but, sadly, often in the end inconsistently so. Yeadon Hunters prove that all these hassles this need not be so. The Yeadon Team genuinely proved to be a model of what I found best over the last decades. They invariably gave me a total service locally in-office, hands firmly on all the issues themselves, real-time and effective replies to my messages, using trusted local tradesmen at fair prices, due sense of urgency and need for updates, and letting me benefit from knowledgeable discussion with professional, personable, known individuals whom I came to trust implicitly. A real breath of fresh air !

Dodgy listings: I enquired about viewing a property for sale. The listing photos showed great condition and nothing of concern in the description. I was told I wouldn't want to look at it, because it had massive damp/mould problems and would need work to change layout. I pointed out the listing mentioned nothing about this, and looked great. I was told that "you know, it's like Instagram, photos aren't real". Pretty unbelievable, so wont be wasting time viewing their listings.

Extremely professional lettings agency. As a landlord, one of my main priorities was having one or two contacts I could reach immediately when managing a block of flats. Hunters have a great team behind them who are very responsive and helpful at every turn. We've just managed to rid ourselves of what we can only describe as a nightmare tenant - misleading us from the start, making false call outs for tradesman, purposefully trying to turn on the communal utilities (paid by myself) 24/7 and incredibly unco-operative when trying to organise viewings for the next tenancy. When she first moved in, I turned up to do some communal maintenance, and wanted to notify the tenants just in case they wondered what I was doing - the next day I get a call from Hunters saying I had caused her mental distress - gives you an idea on who we were dealing with - absolute nightmare! Hunters have a team in place who are very patient with these sort of people, and thankfully we no longer have to deal with them.
