My experience with Hunter Harbour has been an absolute disgrace. They claimed that my reference had failed; however, this was not the case. The issue arose due to a failure in their online system. Despite this, they attempted to hide behind a generic response stating that they “cannot provide any further information,” rather than addressing the actual problem. I took a civilised and reasonable approach and explained that I had evidence showing all required documentation had been uploaded correctly. Unfortunately, they responded with the exact same wording repeatedly, simply rephrased, as though that would change the situation. I then made it clear that I would allow reasonable time for my deposit to be returned, as the failure was clearly on their end. Despite this, they continued to repeat the same position and retained the funds unnecessarily. This behaviour causes significant financial loss to applicants while disproportionately benefiting the company by holding funds for extended periods. It places people in extremely vulnerable situations, forcing them to take out additional funds just to survive and, in some cases, putting them at risk of homelessness. As a result of the financial losses I have incurred, I am now having to pursue legal action. I do not write reviews lightly, but I feel it is important to share this experience to prevent others from being placed in a similar position.

I started the process of buying my first house with Hunters earlier this year, and finally collected the keys yesterday. As a first time buyer, there's lots of information to get your head around and knowing how to act when can be a challenge, especially if you're like me doing it alone. I can’t speak highly enough of Andy Jake, Emma and all the team at Hunters in Harborne. From my very first meeting with Jake to discuss pricing and marketing of my home I was certain I had chosen the correct agents, his professional and above all honest discussions about how they would deal with my sale left me feeling at ease from that first meeting. The photography was extremely professional and showed my property to its fullest potential, the photographs looked amazing , I was very happy with these too. I had 4 viewings over a few weeks and had a near asking price offer which I accepted from the 4th person to view who loved the house immediately. There was no long drawn out negotiation involved and as soon i accepted the offer the MOS was sent out within a few days and I exchanged and completed in a little over 12 weeks which fitted in perfectly with my new purchase. Just want to say a huge Thank You to all the team who kept me updated and stress free through out the whole process. I really cannot recommend them highly enough. Fantastic service. I would like to say that Hunters have offered my mother wonderful service and made house selling as stress free as possible considering the extensive complications of this process. The office staff, Jake, Mary and Andy were marvellous to work with. I cannot fault their attentiveness, straightforward approach and kindness. I would recommend this firm to anyone selling locally. We have just bought an investment property in Harborne from Hunters Estate Agents. It was an online auction property which is always a little more stressful to buy as we have to due our due diligence and make a decision very quickly. I would like to thank Rob and Andy very much for being so accommodating with viewings and answering our questions before we made our bid. Rob showed me round initially, Andy showed my son and me round the second time and Rob took my builder and me round the property a third time (each day they made sure that they could fit in with a time which suited us which was really helpful as my son and our builder only had limited availability to view before the auction closed). Rob then also arranged with the vendor to let me have the keys to take our architect round to measure up to do the plans for refurb works. We have not bought a property through Hunters before but we would be very pleased to do so again. Thank you Rob and Andy for all your help.

They helped Megan to understand the 'buying' process and their communication at each step of the way was exemplary. I was very fortunate that Hunters Harborne were highly recommended to me for my flat sale and from the start I was impressed with their friendly and professional approach. From the initial meeting with the agents in the office, I found that the team were both very knowledgeable with how the market was going and prospects for selling the property.
