Sophie and her team worked tirelessly to sell my late parents' home. It was a challenging sale from the start, but Sophie’s determination to get it over the line never wavered. Renters beware

Rental property managed by this company on behalf of Hs2 on moving out half my deposit kept for issues not really fair, they wanted £20 for grass seed! As the lawn had died just one petty example, trying to get repairs done is difficult, they send individuals round who haven’t a clue, bodge job fix with promises to come back then never do, then charges on the tenant for issues that wouldn’t have arisen had the repairs been completed fully. The excuse - it wasn’t reported. Well have they tried their website?? Jobs reported but not actioned for weeks, when the emails are finally read, it’s all about the money and not the customers (renters). Would strictly not rent a property managed by this company ever again. They are not there for the tenants but solely to make money and for their landlords. Rented all my life moved a few times and always got all my deposit back in full. Until now.

What do you want and expect from an Estate Agent? First the best price for your property. Prior to instructing Carter Jonas I had received two independent valuations. Kate McKinnon advised me in her opinion those valuations were far too low and suggested a figure considerably higher. I was a little ambivalent but decided to instruct Carter Jonas to market the property at their valuation. Secondly to obtain a buyer. Within a few days of going on the market Kate had arranged several viewings which culminated in an offer being received. Whilst below the guide price the offer was considerably more than the other two valuations. I was prepared to accept this offer but again was advised that I should let Carter Jonas try and negotiate an increase on the offer. This they did which to my amazement resulted in a substantial increase on the original offer which I was more than pleased to accept. Thirdly professionalism, honesty and transparency. These qualities were shown throughout the transaction.Kate McKinnon kept me fully informed throughout and promptly returned my calls. I cannot recommend Carter Jonas highly enough and in particular Kate McKinnon. I would also mention Ian Cattle who seamlessly took over whilst Kate was on holiday and couldn’t have been more helpful. He showed great tact and sensitivity from the start when he went the extra mile, leaving a meeting to give an estimate of a flat which I was dealing with under power of attorney. I don’t normally engage with reviews but feel very strongly that In this instance I must exercise my right to do so. Carter Jonas Winchester were appointed and contracts signed to market our property on the 7th Jan. Unknown to us and not disclosed at the time they were also showing prospective purchasers another “black book” neighbours property that was not currently being listed!! Any market advantage completely compromised in our opinion. Their response was very defensive and was suggested it was beneficial to us and were working in our best interest! I’m sorry but it doesn’t! riding the tailcoats of our listing and presenting another neighbours property in the same small development does not constitute working in our best interest. Quite frankly a poor, un-professional service for which we have learnt the hard way! We have had to terminate contract and re appoint another agent. We have had a very negative experience with this agency, the suggestion to them that this was NOT working in our best interest was met by a defensive position, almost arrogant in its delivery. Thankfully we have now found an agent who shares our values and ideas of what working for a clients best interest means!

Great Experience with Carter Jonas Agency! Honestly, either you rent or buy in London, the real estate agency can be a bit tricky, and only a small minority really listen and understand your needs! I found Carter Jonas very professional and they soon acknowledged my brief and proposed to me properties that really macth my needs. Giulio was my agent and he found our perfect house! All the process went smoothly and I would definitely rely on them in the future!

This agency is a complete disaster from start to finish. The apartment was supposed to be “clean” when we moved in. It was filthy and clearly not properly cleaned at all. Dust everywhere, visible dirt, and an overall state that was completely unacceptable for a move-in. This alone already showed a total lack of professionalism. They are consistently late and show zero respect for your time. Late to the first viewing, late when delivering the apartment, late to the final cleaning. Every single appointment involved waiting, excuses, and incompetence. Despite offering such an appalling service, they demanded an insane amount of money upfront: six months paid in advance. Completely unjustifiable and frankly outrageous. Communication throughout the contract was non-existent. Emails ignored, messages unanswered, and a general feeling of being completely abandoned. They changed our assigned agent three times, which resulted in total chaos and nobody taking responsibility for anything. At the end of the contract, they attempted to keep our deposit by manipulating the final cleaning report. Let that sink in. They arrived late (again), called me to come over, and when I arrived they still needed at least another hour to finish the cleaning. That is the level of professionalism you can expect. The only reason we recovered our money is because I documented everything with photos and spent days writing emails and pushing back. It was painfully obvious they were deliberately placing obstacles to avoid returning the deposit. This agency is unprofessional, disorganized, unreliable, and deeply unethical. Renting through them was a constant source of stress and frustration. If you care about your money or your sanity, do not rent with this agency under any circumstances.
