GoogleI’ve known James Taylor (formerly of Searchers) for a number of years and when Hunters Solihull acquired the lettings portfolio of Searchers I was reassured to learn James would be continuing to manage my property portfolio. GoogleI would not use this company if you are looking to rent out your property!!! They were ok arranging contracts and taking the money, but when it came to protecting our property, they were useless. We were in Australia at the time our tenants left, Hunters inspected and reported that they were happy and refunded the entire deposit!!! When we arrived back the house was a shambles, huge stain on the dining room floor (we had to replace the carpet). Bedroom shelves were broken, toilet scratched, hallway had to be redecorated, just getting on top of it now. We have had to spend more than the deposit to repair and replace. I asked for meeting to resolve this and they would only correspond by email, saying it was wear and tear. Shocking, do not use......
Hi Richard We do not return deposits to tenants until we have confirmation from Landlords. You gave confirmation to us after your family member had been to check the house. As you are aware, there were some deductions which have been transferred to your bank account so the deposit was not returned to the tenant in full. Landlords are not entitled to betterment of a property.

GoogleI have been renting my properties via Searchers and now with Hunters for the last 10 years. I have had the pleasure of dealing with James Taylor who has managed 3 of my properties over these years and have guided me in a timely manner of my obligations as a landlord. James is friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. James is an excellent member of the team and I would have no hesitation in recommending him (Hunters) to anyone looking for a new tenant for their property.

GoogleMy property was previously managed by Searchers prior to Hunters taking over. James Taylor was managing my property with Searchers. When I was told Hunters would be taking over, knowing James was also transitioning over and working for Hunters, it immediately relieved any nerves with a new company taking over the management of my property. Since James has managed my property, he has always been responsive and any communication clear with what is going on or is required regarding maintenance for myself and any issues that may have arose with tenants. I would recommend James for property management.

GoogleThey gave us a house full of mould. We reported this but nothing was done in 4 months. We decided to end the tennancy early and on the phone they told us its a £300 fee and than billed us £500. Besides the high prices and the terrible living conditions they had the audacity to request £300 for cleaning fees from the deposit when it clearly says that the house was not professionally cleaned before we moved in.
