I have been using Hunters to let out my property. So far I am very satisfied with the level of service and their professionalism. They do a regular property inspection and all required administration. Their team has a number of friendly staff. Emma and Shelley were very helpful with introducing their service and finding tenants. Tracey was efficient with sorting out administration work. Michael deals effectively with financial queries. Abi was very helpful in addressing my various enquiries, while Gemma made very professional property inspection report. I wish them to keep up the good work!

Awful customer service for tenants. Simply do not care about any issues with the properties and only look after the interest of the landlord. On a £1100/month property: potentially lethal electrical fault left for a week before getting fixed, damp and mould problems ignored, unfair charges when vacating a property, having to pay for removal of previous tenants rubbish ourselves but then getting charged £100 because the bins were not empty when we left. Disgraceful. Avoid like the plague. There is plenty of other decent estate agents in town.

In a property managed by Hunters, Huddersfield. I am being forced to move out due to lack of concern, care or consideration from them. They do not care about the tenants as long as they 're receiving the rent for the landlord. They allowed me to move into a property that needed a load of unforseen repair works (failed to tell me there was an escape of water from the flat above and one year on it still hasn't been fixed, hence why I am moving out.) They have also put the property back on to the market without doing the repairs. I refuse to let another innocent tenant be put through the distress and inconvenience they have caused me since day one. They also refused to give me a reference until I had already handed my notice in, essentially making me homeless in 30 days of the application had fallen through. Worst customer service, they do not do any maintenance or repairs and you have to constantly chase them otherwise they forget about you for several months at a time.

Rented a 2 bed flat from Bridgefords in Bradford (Olivias Court) which went fine until Hunters took over from 2015, I stayed in the property for 5 years, had nothing but problems since my final year in 2017 which eventually lead me to move out of the property with constant problems with appliances such as boiler leaks which damaged my juicers and air fryer, leaks from ceilings from Tennant above, heating problems etc etc, I was chasing them literally every day to get someone out to sort out the heating as the ceilings are extremely high and takes forever for room to warm up, hunters kept promising me with dates and dates but no sign of electrician or repairs during winter, they simply did not care. After a long period of no show I ended up contacting the council for help, they stepped in and contacted hunters directly behalf of me and within a week hunters decided to arrange an electrician to visit the property! I have had so many problems trying to get repairs for this property done but they are extremely slow and takes weeks and sometimes months to get fixed. I handed my notice in and arranged professional cleaner to clean up the place, obviously I had taken pictures before I moved in and pictures after the cleaner cleaned up the place and and handed the key leaving the property in immaculate condition. From Windows to carpet, skirting boards, cabinets, doors, heaters, the lot! All was left was to expect my deposit back in full of £450. 4 days went by heard nothing, a week went by still nothing, everyday I was chasing to hear news about my deposit but no, they emailed me back with silly pictures of dust under the toilet seat, 2 tiny thin hair pins found in the property property which may not have been picked up by the hoover and said the property requires a full clean, they calculated £139 to deduct from my deposit, which £85+ VAT went on to cleaning!! I feel the property did not require a clean as I paid to have it cleaned already and they say they need to spend additional £85+VAT to have the property further cleaned!! I left the property in immaculate condition (see pics) A full month went by and they wouldn't release my deposit! They caused so much stress, distress and mental torture that I could no longer go to work! I explained this to them but they did not care! I had no choice but to agree to there new offer at £350 (£100 deducted). I moved out on the 12th April and deposit was released on the 12th May! They charged me £85 to wipe some dust and to pick up 2 tiny hairpins which got lost near the edge of the skirting board! PATHETIC!! With such a disappointing experience with hunters in huddersfield I would suggest my fellow friends looking to deal with hunters in Huddersfield should just simply AVOID, AVOID AVOID and look at another lettings agency... for me it was minor dust particles under the toilet seat and 2 hair pins that they ended up taking an £85+VAT of me! I feel as I have blatantly been robbed! Never using them ever again! I have come across hunters before elsewhere and they have been pretty easy going but not this huddersfield branch, probably a franchise! I will indeed be contacting Hunters head office of my complaint in detail. Pathetic!
