I have used ellis as agents to rent my 3 bedroom semi in Stanmore over a 7 year period fully managed.I've had nothing but disappointment in their ability to carry out this task . In fairness they did find me two tenants who paid on time but in both cases when they moved out my house was in a bad state and needed a lot of work Both time i had trouble with ellis getting deductions from tenants deposit and had to do most of the work myself. There was one good guy RAY who finally sort out my deposit deductions the last time to whom i am very grateful

GoogleJason @ Ellis and Co was excellent - efficient, to the point and effective. I was buying and he facilitated matters very well - particularly when there were hold ups for unforeseen legal or other issues. He replies promptly; He also understands buyers are smart people and doesn't pressure with any counterproductive hard sell, and consequently gets results - his communication is jargon free and straightforward. GoogleRecently had the pleasure of using Ellis & Co's services to let the perfect flat for my partner and I. From the start they were very professional and responsive but friendly. We managed to arrange a viewing for mere hours after having found the flat, to having all references completed in little over a week. Mark was at hand all the way and never made us feel like a bother and now we've Nick who helped us settle in over the first few days and who is just a call or text away to go to for any issues that might arise throughout our tenancy. Luckily, we were assigned an angel of an agent, Alicia Casingena, from Ellis and Co’s Golders Green branch. She really went above and beyond for us and helped us close on our dream house! My wife and I are currently expecting and were so worried we wouldn’t close in time to move into our new home before the arrival of our baby girl but Alicia really chased hard on her end and made it happen. She not only ensured everything was done on the agency front but also chased the seller’s lawyers and other parties day in and day out to speed up the process for us. GoogleRude, patronising, sarcastic and inflexible. Dealing with this agency has been a nightmare from start to finish during our almost 2 year tenancy, and was a reason we decided to move. Our new estate agents have been a dream in comparison and it shows that there can be nice estate agents out there. They made every issue we raised with our old flat seem like it was our fault, even when it was things that were completely out of our control like a collapsed roof. The agent who dealt with our check out process was rude and sarcastic at every opportunity and caused us a lot of stress. We are young professionals who paid our rent early every month and still had to put up with this. In my opinion, I would avoid this estate agent as far as possible as the stress caused was not worth it. I’m sharing my experience to avoid other people going through what we went through.NegativeProfessionalism
We are very disappointed to have seen your review and looked into this in detail with the branch and staff involved. From our review of the situation, we have seen correspondence from you during your tenancy which is contrary to your negative feedback which is actually complementary of our offices service. We appreciate when tenants want to break a tenancy agreement earlier without giving the correct notice and the landlord refusing their request this will always cause a negative response but this is not the agents fault. Your definition of a collapsed roof is also unfair. It was a leaking roof during lockdown which you were being called several times by our office late in the evening when you reported it which was temporarily covered the next morning and a full repair shortly after. That said we are always looking to improve our service whenever possible and are open to honest feedback and would like to take the opportunity for you to email finchley@ellisandco.co.uk with a suitable day and time for the Director to contact you.

Adam (Sales Manager) took over the rest of the transaction and kept in contact throughout the process. No question was too small.
