We chose Ellis & Co Kenton as the agency for our first rented property. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Within three months of moving in, several maintenance issues began to arise. Although one or two minor issues were addressed, many others remained unresolved despite repeated requests. Some repairs were promised within a week of moving in, but even after a full year, they were never completed. When it came time to renew the tenancy, the agency wanted to increase the rent. We agreed to the increase on the condition that the outstanding maintenance issues would finally be resolved. Instead, we were informed that the landlord wanted the property back for renovation and were given notice to leave. While I understand that landlords have the right to regain possession of their property, being asked to leave after only one year was extremely stressful for my wife and me. We had settled into the property and invested in furniture, expecting to stay much longer. Having to search for a new home during Ramadan while fasting was particularly difficult. As both of us work full-time during the week, we only had weekends available to view properties. The sudden need to find a new home, move out, and settle elsewhere caused significant stress and emotional distress. My wife's health was affected by the situation and she continues to experience issues related to the stress it caused. We repeatedly asked the agency to discuss our concerns with the landlord, but we felt that they consistently sided with the landlord and provided very little support to us as tenants. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and we did not feel valued or supported as tenants.

We are currently undergoing severe stress due to our dealings with this company. We are extremely unhappy with the handling of our deposit; they have failed to provide a clear timeframe for its return and we feel exploited by their lack of transparency. Communication has been incredibly poor throughout this process. It is frustrating to be left in the dark when it involves your own money. I strongly urge anyone considering their services to think twice before moving forward with them. The only positive note I can share is my appreciation for a former staff member, Rana. She was incredibly helpful, professional, and a pleasure to work with, but unfortunately, the current management and processes fall far short of that standard.

Out of nowhere I chose Ellis & Co whilst being in the area to provide a valuation for the sale of my property. They always say “first impression's”count. I can’t thank Carl & Viren enough for their entire professionalism and patience. Although the sale went through pretty rapidly -May 23 my solicitor “dragged her heels” which meant completion took 9 months and would have been longer if Carl and Viren had not intervened to help expedite the necessary documents, which I had no control over.I have now moved out of the area, but I would not hesitate to choose them again if they covered the other side of the world!Thank you Carl and Viren, keep up the good work you have been brilliant!
