Absolute con artists. House was a state when we moved in. Worst thing was a mouldy chicken rotting in a bin full of water in the garden. Garden clearly hadn't been touched as it was full of the last tenant's trash. We left the place 100x cleaner than how we found it and they still had the audacity to try and take our whole deposit. I have rented out a student home in Nottingham for the last 30 years, and through that time I have had my fair share of ups and downs with letting agents. I contacted Nicholas Humphreys when the agents I had basically ran off with the rental and deposits and "went bancruot" leaving myself, now living in Scotland, and my tenants in the lurch. The team effortlessly stepped in and took control. That was about 8 years ago, and since then I have been able to enjoy 100% occupancy plus the peace of mind Nicholas Humphreys were there to respond to the needs of the students, prompting me to attend to maintenance and improvements to ensure the fabric of the property remains a desirable rental prospect, and also efficiently and cost effectively supervised some more major repairs that have been necessary. I am particularly grateful to Catherine Bentham who has been consistently responsive, effective and friendly to deal with. I now live overseas, and without Nicholas Humphreys I would not be able to continue renting out this property. With increasingly onerous HMO legislation and other Nottingham City Council influence, it would be impossible without professional advice.
